Is there a source for finding the mfg date of a winchester model 74 rimfire semi auto? I have one that's ancient, but I would love to find the date.

From WINCHESTER Dates of Manufacture 1894 to 1984 by GEORGE MADIS.
Sorry, I can't seem to get them any clearer or larger.

thanks! if my memory serves me correctly, the first three of the serial are 303, meaning around 1952/ 53?

thats what it looks like from what you posted...
