Beautiful animal. Congrats. I've never taken an axis, but once killed a fallow with my bow. It was the best tasting meat I've ever had. Better than any steak. I've heard axis is even better. Have you cooked any yet?

Yes the Axis is better than any whitetail I have ever eaten and I like it better than beef for chili and hamburger. Mosy everyone in the area we hunt wont shoot whitetail if they can get Axis, we like it a lot.
