I use them on a couple of TC rifles, One has an extra stud out front for mounting and the other is a front forearm mounting screw/stud, Both work very well. I would not mount any thing to the barrel itself. You will read posts telling you to rest the forarm at the rear of the forarm only, This is good advise if you are shooting off bags but in my experience it wont make any difference if your using a bi-pod. As long as the rifle is setting the same for each shot you should be fine. KN
