This fellow had been hunting with this .30-06 760 for 30+ years and wanted me to do some work on it. It had never been cleaned or lubed. I cleaned it, did a trigger job on it, and installed this stock set from Cabela's. It's different.....He bought a $600.00 Meopta scope for it too..

Nice looking rig. The 760/7600 are rifles that would seem to work ok with the thumbhole stocks. Many rifles have their safety located on them where you can't get it off with your hand in the shooting position. My 7600 has the gray laminated stocks.

My local gun shop has a couple factory new Remington pumps with maple stocks. I like maple, but these are pretty ugly - no figure or Birdseye at all. I think they were a 35 Whelen limited run.
