 That is an awesome deal as far as the farmers and the people feeding the hungry goes. Only .85 an acre, thats a bargain. On the other hand, if I were close I would vonlunteer for the meat and target practice

I have been in a few, but they weren't mine. Nor do I have any "pull" to get one. The closest I could think is sometimes an Apache would fly out to a local conservation club for photos. Think he would have enough firepower?  

I can't help but think of the perfect person for the job......the door gunner from Full Metal Jacket!

The helicopters they use aren't cheap, but not the most expensive ones either. They're likely run off of diesel and therefore one of the least expensive to operate. They're no CH-47s (Chinooks)! Something tells me the radio controlled ones won't work well.

I could at least mount a mini cam on board.... that article said you need a Tx hunting license, I forgot, do you have to have a hunting license here in Indiana??

  I just emailed Texas fish & wildlife for information on licenses and prices for non residents to hunt the vermin. will let everyone know when I here back from them...

That's cool!  Did you see the note on that video I posted? You can't hunt from helicopters in Texas yet, only licensed population control.

    Here`s the info I recieved from Texas if anyone wants to know....  Gary


Depending upon the number of days you wish to hunt, you will require
either one of the licenses below to hunt on private land with the
landowner's permission.

Non-resident Special Hunting (Type 107): $132 Valid to hunt: Exotic
animals, all legal game birds (NOT VALID FOR TURKEY), all nongame
animals, squirrel, javelina and alligator (not valid for other game
animals, NOT VALID FOR DEER). Stamp endorsement requirements apply.

Non-resident 5-Day Special Hunting (Type 157): $48 Legal for any period
of 5 consecutive days (valid hunting dates will be printed on the
license when issued). Valid to hunt: Exotic animals, all legal game
birds (except turkeys), all nongame animals, squirrel, javelina and
alligator (not valid for other game animals, NOT VALID FOR DEER). Stamp
endorsement requirements apply.

No stamps are required for feral hogs.

Hunter Education (HED) Certification is required of anyone born on or
after Sept. 2, 1971 and we do recognize all other states HED
certification.

If you plan on hunting on any of our Public Hunting Lands that allow the
taking of feral hogs, the Annual Public Hunting Permit (APH) $48 will be
require in addition to either of the licenses above.

  Yep, I think they will except help from anywhere, that shows in the price of there non resident licenses. Pretty cheap actually and you wouldn`t probably need more than their 5 day permit. If we lived a lot closer I could see getting the annual.
