"PUT ME IN FOR THE STARTER KIT"

My oldest son's birthday is in July and I was thinking of getting him his first "real gun".  He has a Red Ryder but keeps asking when he can get a real gun.  It makes a father feel real good to hear a son say that.

I don't have any spare parts to offer but you can put me in for another slate call and a squirl barker.
I also have one request from the recipients of these, would like to see pictures of the kids first succesful hunt.

Spanky,
Can I give this case of ammo away too?  ;)  Sorry it's only near full, 92rds. I haven't shot any in nearly 5 years, now I finally found a good use for it. ;)

I'll pay shipping to parent's address.

Thanks, Dinny

I am adding a 20 ga Lee Loader to the list of items the lucky child will receive.  I acquired this in a box of reloading stuff from an estate sale.  I have never used it but it looks great and is missing no parts.  The copyright on the directions is 1972.

I will pay shipping.

Why don't we just do this all the time.  All of us kick in surplus stuff to get a youngster started.  Talk about investing in tomorrow. :o  Let's do it.

Come to think if it, I have an extra buttstock shell holder I'll include with the stock and frame.  Now we need a barrel.

I suggest sending all the individual pieces directly to the winner. Imagine how great it would be for a youngster to start getting all those indviidual packages in the mail and the winner and his parrent (or whomever) putting them together into a working shotgun. I can see the start of another Handiholic!! It would also save postage for those involved, not sending stuff twice....<><....:)

+1 on MSPRET suggestion I can remember when I was little and sending in a bunch of box tops to Quisp cereal and getting a flying suacer and my dad helping me put it together.

All right lets do 2 .I just went back and dug thru my "stuff" I thought all I had extra was a old  410 and a rifled 20 but there is also a smooth bore that ain't on a frame. Must of had stub ideas floatin in my head. The 25"410 is off a Model 88 and the 26"20 must be a pardner both have bead site and fit a couple of SB1 frames I have. Does not matter to me which one ya want to use but I think the 20ga is more forgiving and cheaper to shoot than the 410. You guys decide and let me know what to do and where to send. Kurt

Let me know if ya think the bbl should be shortened for a youngster and I will do that and reinstall the brass bead before it is sent out.

This is an excellent thing everyone. This is what it's all about, it's great to see the spirit of giving.

Pete,
You got the ball rollin' on the 2nd one so why don't you pull the name for it.
I'm diggin' through my goodies to see what I can kick in.
If it's OK with everyone we could take all the contributions after yours and put it towards #2
I'll take all the names we get up until midnight tonight for this one and all the names after that can go towards #2
I'm gettin' all the names together and putting them in a hat for tomorrow morning.

All contributions after yours go towards #2 and all names after midnight tonight go towards #2.
Is that OK with everyone?
