I met Ed Hubel!
« on: February 25, 2010, 06:29:58 AM »
Just as it says, I met Ed Hubel in St. Louis yesterday. Unbeknownst to me there are, at least, 2 Ed Hubel's. :o I met the other one. :( To say the least, I was hyped when I heard that Ed Hubel and I were shopping at the same dealership for a new car. He didn't know what the 12ga FH was and that told me immediatley he was not the same I had thought he was.

Ed, someday maybe I will meet the "real you" and pick your brain for a while. ;) ;D

Thanks, Dinny

And here I don't even know who or what an Ed Hubel is. Is he the man the Hubel telescope is named for?

Ed Hubel the gun nut here. I'm in Central Michigan around
Mt Pleasant, Weidman, Barryton, Lake, Farwell and Clare.
If you see a white tandem long four door
Towncar pickup, that's me. I live out in country
east of a little place called Brinton.
Edwin Hubble a distant cousin, is the telescope guy.
It is nice for a  guy to be appreciated on all the forums..
I made the 2nd 12ga FH, Rob on AR forums made the first
and original idea was his, I just helped get it going and
did a bunch of experimenting that kept it going.Ed

Must have been a letdown, Dinny. And GB is pulling our legs, I think. Some of us here follow Ed's work in the BIG bore world very close and I plan to become a member in the 8 gauge Handi club. Hunman55

Nope no leg pulling. I read only a small percentage of threads here.

Not so much of a disappointment, this Ed Hubel was a nice guy himself.

Ed, how far are you from Kalamazoo and Plainwell? I have family there and will visit them soon. Maybe then I can meet the real Ed Hubel...... ;) Dorr County has a range, maybe we can shoot one of your toys???

Thanks, Dinny

In which direction? I am unfamiliar with the towns you previously mentioned.

Thanks, Dinny
