There's nothing any of us can do about that, it's in the past. I suggest you leave it there, and go back to some of your other crazy discussions on guns. >:(

Janaldog87 , in your opinion now that African Americans have gained all the rights other Americans have ( surely the present president eliminates any doubt of non equality)  have they used them in a positive or negative way ? Has it had a positive or negative influnce on American culture ? Has it elevated the African American community ?

Thank you for posting that.
It goes along with a lot of what I have been saying about Hi Tax rates and Abortion.
Hi Tax rates kill jobs and the first place people lose jobs in the inner city.
and the Abortion movement was done by a bunch of rich white women in the south and North east to control the population of blacks.
The Democrats were the ones that tried to block the civil rights movements, they are the ones that still want to control the poor population and think they are too stupid to succeed and need hand outs and that wealth needs to be redistrubited.
The best thing to end racism is to give people a jobs.
The rewording of the 1938 gun Laws also back my rantings of the Nazi tacktics the Democrats use.  They have picked up the play book of Demigog, scapegoats, and propaganda to control the population.

The one thing I did not like was the Narator said the Narco Economics is a Black thing.  It is not.  Drugs are a national problem not a racial problem.  Well armed citizens may be willing to stand up to the Gangs and testify, that will lower the murder rates and the drug involved shootings down.

Jamal, How does a 150 year old law that discriminated against Blacks, Indians, & Chinamen concern us today. All races in america can own guns if they met the other qualifications.

Sorry but I fail to see your point.

The point I take is learn from the past and don't repeat it. You're preaching to the choir here, but many folks have no idea that the root of many gun laws are in post civil war racism. It isn't new to disarm and segregate a portion of society.

I honestly don't see this happening again, but I sure don't think it won't be tried again. Though now that I've written this where would Chicago's handgun ban and DC's former gun ban fit into this?

Ahem.

What is it with all of the"Ahems" this morning?  I noticed the same thing by you today on another thread--one that was hardly political or controversial, but more of a "nostalgic" nature, but dealing with the evolution of gun rights.  Are some folks out of line this morning, or what?  If some comments are too edgy, with all due respect we need to know something  more than just "ahem". I doubt if any of us want to intentionally break rules for posting.

I'm of the opinion that the gun control act of 1968 which eliminated most low cost "saturday night specials" removed handguns from those who often need them the most, the poor.

There are many who want but cannot afford a handgun.

The bet of today is a Black shame of black people. Nazi Gun Control

"The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subject races to possess arms. History shows that all conquerors who have allowed their subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by so doing. Indeed, I would go so far as to say that the supply of arms to the underdogs is a sine qua non for the overthrow of any sovereignty. So let's not have any native militia or native police. German troops alone will bear the sole responsibility for the maintenance of law and order throughout the occupied Russian territories, and a system of military strong-points must be evolved to cover the entire occupied country." --Adolf Hitler,

Nazi Weapons Act of 1938 (Translated to English)

Classified guns for "sporting purposes".
All citizens who wished to purchase firearms had to register with the Nazi officials and have a background check.
Presumed German citizens were hostile and thereby exempted Nazis from the gun control law.
Gave Nazis unrestricted power to decide what kinds of firearms could, or could not be owned by private persons.
The types of ammunition that were legal were subject to control by bureaucrats.
Juveniles under 18 years could not buy firearms and ammunition.

it's  easy for people to forget were thing come from. As the video said the 1968 act was mostly the Nazi Weapons Act of 1938 Translated to English.

MCWOODDUCK;

The term you are looking for is called EUGENICS.  Sanger who was the woman who started planned parenthood, was against the lowly, uneducated, and certain ethnic groups from over populating the world.  Darwin was another Eugenics backer besides Hitler and many Nazi's.
