please help, h & r 949

i am looking for parts for a h&r 949,  the only thing i cant seem to find is a loading gate ball and spring.  is there a substitute out there or something that would work.  this is a friends revolver that unfortunately i don't have in front of me to measure anything.  thanks

Most any gunsmith out there should be able to match up a correct size ball and spring for it.  You can also try www.gunparts.corp.  44 Man
