What do you think will happen in six weeks when the dems ramrod the health care bill through the senate with a 51 vote majority?

I think the response will be civil followed by the biggest political bloodbath in the history of the country next November. The repubs don't need to do anything except register as candidates.

Your probably right
And when we let them get away with that it will be like tidal wave on what ever else they want.
And if some of us did try to do anything about it some folks here would call us terrorists, nutcases ......

Well fellas, I guess you can make it a self fulfilling prophecy, If you wanna.

I'm betting the bottom will fall out and the roof will fall on their heads, People are sick and tired of being sick and tired. The election in Massachusetts showed that. But heck we cant be bothered with staying focused and following up, we have too many things we can be complaining about. We cant be bothered with calling our senators/congressmen and telling them how we feel about it or writing letters. WE are the people, we can make a difference but we gotta get off our asses.  These guys make their living watching polls, they act like they could care less but they watch and react, I saw it right after the election in Massachusetts.

I'm staying the course and hoping for the best.

Oldshooter I'm prayin I'm wrong.
But I'm a pretty good judge of people as a group. We're in this mess because most folks are lazy. They set a round waiting for someone else to do for them. I just don't think them cramming this health care down our throats is going to be enough to get that lazy bunch to turn loose of that tit.

First...vote with the ballot box. Unfortunately, that won't change much, and the people that will allow this to be just another "go along to get along" are the very ones that will be gaining the most from it. Young families with babies, illegals, and very elderly. The working base that will end up having to support it will shoulder the burden again, until the system collapses under overweight of taxes and handouts. Now that the US and Canada have agreed to combine military forces in the event of SHTF, you can't even count on running off to Canada to escape it. Face it, folks, wether or not you want to believe it or not, it is going to happen, 'cause the lazy butts are going to see it all eroding away, and want someone to "fix it". Better face it...stock up on guns, ammo, food, water, grain seeds, hand tools, and plenty of TP. And a safe place to head along with a few others you can trust. Just saying.... BoomLover

Were gonna get medieval on them ... just like the serfs we are.

Whaddya think were gonna do? Seriously. Were gonna get on here and bat it around like we've done with everything else before. Then were gonna stick it to them in the ballot box and light up the phone lines and inboxes until the next time.

Unless, or until the Dumbycrats change the non-bill in several areas, they probably can't even get 51 votes in the Senate.  I'll leave it to ole Harry to screw it up so bad that it will backfire right in their collective faces.

Obuma has that all figured out. Why do you think he hasn't spent all that stimulus money? He will let the people have their demonstrations and show their anger. Then he will open up the money chest and buy the elections. Nothing will change unless the people refuse his bribe money.

The solution is quite simple, just get the president to get members of both parties to sit down together and televise it for the whole nation to watch.

Oh crap.. they tried that already

Guys just watch the news this coming week. I am willing to bet it gets past, WITHOUT MAJORITY! They have sacrificed to many seats in congress. It is going to go thru, short of a miracle. Then again they called him the Messiah so a miracle can be dealt with ;)

Same here on the UURP stuff in the mail. I joined them to get The Hartford  auto ins, and that was 6 years ago, and haven't sent them a dime since. Strange! they haven't canceled my Ins. either.

  • Security is the ability to take care of yourself.
Obama knows what will happen. He said words to the effect that he will push the bill through even though he knows " we will pay in November". He even shrugged his shoulders as he said it. He doesn't care.
He claims that the gov will save billions by eliminating fraud in Medicare. If the gov knows there is that much fraud in Medicare, why aren't they fixing it now? Whole process make me sick.

People will absolutely revolt, but not in November.  The progressives will, of course, get spanked at the polls in a few months.

But, the revolt will come when the dollar begins its rapid slide toward worthlessness.  I truly believe that we might be seeing the end of the Rooseveltian mega-central US Government, and the return of decentralization.  It's gonna hurt, though.

It is funny how the pendulum swings.  I've always believed that the Confederacy was perfectly correct in the political issue of its day (10th amendment stuff), but so utterly, horribly wrong on the moral issue of its day (belief that the Rights of Man only apply to some, slavery)

I'd be perfectly happy in a South free of both an intrusive Federal Government and a social order permitting one man to own, or oppress, another.

What gets me is why folks are worked up? Seriously after everything that has ALREADY HAPPENED. We'd rather whine about each new teaspoonful while were buried up to our necks in it. If the people haven't gotten it yet, I'm not thinking a few more infractions against liberty are gonna matter.

What it comes down to, is the liberals know what we need and by golly they are going to do it, if we want it or not. We, the people, do not have enough sense to know what we need and so they are going to provide it for us. The elected congress people should represent us, but they do as THEY want, no matter what WE want, because we are just basically stupid. That is their thinking and always will be. I called our Democratic Senator and I could not get through, it was jammed up with so many calls about this health care bill. I guess the right thing is going to happen, he is not running again. He says he is resigning because of political dysfunction in Washington. Bah - I think he is guilty about what HE has done. I think he is leaving before the pitchforks catch up to him. Problem is, he is still a Democrat who will vote the party, not what we want until he finally leaves office. I say good riddance, I just hope there will not be too much damage before he is gone.

I write my local and national legislators pretty regular and get several email news letters as well as "personal" responses.

Here is what the latest newsletter says from Congressman Don Young, R AK:

159 Ways the Senate Bill Is a Government Takeover of Health Care...
Click here for a list of new boards, bureaucracies, and programs created in the 2,733 page Senate health care bill, which serves as the framework for President Obama’s health proposal.  President Obama had promised a bipartisan summit on health care.  However, on February, 22, 2010 – before the summit – he released a plan that is largely the product of backroom negotiations between Congressional Democrats that took place during January and February.  The health care summit was nothing but political theater, with no resolution in sight.

http://donyoung.house.gov/UploadedFiles/Healthsum.pdf

I won't copy the list here as it is long.

He has been keeping a hard look on this issue and has offered up several bills to really fix a few of the problems. I hope he can wake up enough people. I support his efforts. He can be very abrasive and seem a bit eccentric at times but I'm with him on this.

And he is an NRA director, avid hunter.

The Question: What will the people do when the dems ramrod health care on a 51 vote majority?

The "people" will vote in Republicans, and the Republicans will tweak it a little, and keep their own GOLDEN HEALTHCARE PLAN, and blame any problems on the Democrats, but THEY WON'T UN-DO ANYTHING. But everyone will feel better.

Someone may want to make a Post of what I am going to say

The Liar in the House now knows he WILL NOT be voted in again
With That He will Jam all He Can down the Throats of the American People
He will Push until he is ousted or falls to his Knee's trying to ruin as much as he can
They know form Mass vote that the Dem's have zero chance for a long time to come
so they must wipe as much Spew upon us Now
I will not comment on his replacement, however I will say whomever it is will not have to do much
and will also leave after 4 by then the US will be having to total revamp or we will NEVER be a free
Country Again the Final Giant will be Laying its self to bed
God Bless us all
Pray because it is the only good thing left
FOR NOW

I'll vote Republican because they are better than what we have.  Chances are 3rd party folks will give it to the Dems in 2012 again so they can continue their socialist agenda.

Starvation, true economic ruin, 30% unemployment, armed gangs in the streets pillaging for food, these things generally have an effect on the electorate.  We are looking at 1920s Germany coming here to the US, in vivid technicolor.

I envision the total collapse of the dollar, and I envision those of us who are net tax payers saying to the net tax users, "come and take it if you think you can!"

I'll gladly provide charity to many in need, but of my own volition, not by some government communist stealing it from my through payroll taxes.

skarke , you may be on track but and that's a big but will the rest of the world stand by and watch ? Will some other Govt. or BANK offer support with strings attached ? Will it come thru. the UN with us accepting UN rule ? There are many long term negatives involved . There is much chance for ruin . The first reaction may very well be Texas seperating from the USA . Short term the dumb-o-crats have a problem they are screwed if they do and screwed if they don't . Come nov. they will lose because they have wasted time and money but more important Americans are not working or not making what they once did and they will let Washington know the only way they can VOTING .
