I have a Ruger 1V in 223. Been toying with the idea of having it rebarreled with either a Lilja or Douglas chambered for the 223 WSSM. Think it would work and the action take the increased pressure? :eek:

That No. 1 action will take anything that will fit in the receiver ring.  A .223 WSSM shouldn't be any hotter than a .220 Swift, or any other high intensity round...
