Winchester 94s (1925 and 1950)- C&R
« on: February 27, 2010, 11:46:40 AM »
I'm trying real hard to keep my wallet shut, but the following keeps popping up on a local site I'm on. Your thoughts on price please.
The levers are not very popular and sell compared to the black rifles here.

Try double on the price of a black rifle in my area. I saw an individual add for a Bushmaster, and price was $850.00. They (the Winchesters) are, what they are, and they at the present, aren't making any more, and most likely never will. You have to decide if you want them.

Those look to be in pretty good shape for the price--just judging by the pics.  I've seen 94's with lots more wear and tear, and higher price tags.  Whether they bring the asking price is something else again.  If I lived in your area, I might be tempted.  As Dee says, they aren't making any more, and most likely never will--at least not like these.

If I wanted another 3030 with the quality my 52 year old Winchester has, I would buy them both.
