What Contender barrels are .458" bore?
« on: February 27, 2010, 12:47:11 PM »
I'm aware of the 45/70 and have my sights on a few F/S.
I enjoy paper patching .451-2" Colt lead pistol bullets up to .458-.460" and shooting them thru .458" bores. I'm unaware of any other .458" bored 45 T/C barrels....do you know of any?

There's always the 460 Jurras made from the 500 Basic Alan.    :o

But lots of luck finding one of the only 30 460's made by Jurras in the 70's.  Last one in my notes for sale was $1200, and that was many years ago.

Evolution at work. Over two million years ago the genus Homo had small cranial capacity and thick skin to protect them from their environment. One species has evolved into obese cranial fatheads with thin skin in comparison that whines about anything and everything as their shield against their environment. Meus
