Chile Vs Haiti quake aid question
« on: February 27, 2010, 05:42:43 PM »
The quake in Chile this morning was more than 500 times stronger than the one in Haiti but this one will be history by monday under the shadow of the olympics, even our coward-in-chief promised aid- if they asked for it!? ???

He gives 100,million$ of american taxpayer money to haiti like mardi gras beads then tells chile they need to beg!

I'm betting that Chile will probably be accepting as much help as they can get.  If they need help in rebuilding, I know where there are a bunch of spanish speaking folks who I would gladly volunteer to go to Chile--if they promise to keep them.

I think my family finally gets it ... every single time a catastrophe hits, the opportunists show up; some we call looters and others we call relief agencies. And they come in right along side the legitimate folks who are sincerely trying to help out, to where its hard to tell who is who. My concern yesterday with the tsunami scare in our area was NOT water damage.

First and foremost---I don't know what folks call black but there is a large population of what appears to be black--in chili.
The pupulation and economy in Chili is different than in the caribbean.
Chili said they would ask for help if they needed it.
Chili building standards are a far cry from Haiti---which has helped in the loss of life.
The Georgraphy of Chili and where it struck was a difference in the two---Chili is backed up to the Andeas and has little plains.
BIG earthquakes are common to this country.

How many died in Haiti? Chile had building codes requiring reinforced concrete.

People in Chili have a better handle on how many kids they can support. Not as overpopulated as Haiti. gypsyman
