i gave another skunk some new neck gear. i caught it in the same trap using the same bait and location as the other skunk, apparently they like salami

ok i got down how to skin them(without cutting the gland) how do i get the smell out of the hide? anything better or easier than the commercial crap?

Mix one pint hydrogen peroxide  (3%) available at drug or grocery stores , 1/2 cup baking soda, one tables spoon  dishwashing soap...  soak hide in solution for 1/2 to one hour...  Dont get  solution in eyes or save any of it as it creates gas so you cant save it by capping it off in container....  let drip  and  then roll up in newspaper tight, change often  and then you can put on stretcher fur side out with fan on it but it will take awhile... then change and put skin side out...
