I've had Contender-itis on and off for years. I guess I bought my first one maybe 30 years ago? I get them, get a few extra barrels, reload for them, then get bored and sell everything off. Sold my last one a few years ago.
Tomorrow I will pick up a used G2 with a 14" 30/30 AI barrel. Lee dies, a Simmons scope and Uncle Mike's holster. I'll be trading Ruger Blackhawk 45 Colt and money.
I've already verbally bought a 44 Mag Super 14 barrel w/sights + brass from another friend so I'm off to the Contender fever once again.
I gotta itch for a 45/70 so that's probably next if I can find a deal.
