Lipsey's Bisley 44 Specials Arrive!

Three arrived.   Brought a 5.5 home...  The consecutive serial number pair of 4 5/8 guns were taken while I was closing the deal on this one...

Congrats! Love the grips and hammer. Very nice, but now you have put another must have on my ever growing list. Good luck with it.

 i am a little bit jealous of you right now. mine just has the normal grip frame have been thinking of getting a bisley new vaquero and making the conversion not for a while tho since getting my seville. i may just wait on ruger to make it regular production. nice gun

They are a Lipsey's exclusive.   5 1/2 and 4 5/8......  Word is the first run was 500 of each barrel length on the initial run....  Don't know if there will be more or not....

I am a fan of the Bowen target rear sight myself....  Bad thing is that they aren't made for the FT blackhawks...  Yet.

FWIW my FFL had a pair of consecutive serial number 4 5/8 Bisley FT 44s.... 
They were taken while I was cutting the deal on the 5 1/2 inch gun...

Your right, I forgot about that. Maybe with so many new flattops around these days, Bowen will get around to making one. Ruger sights aren't bad but Bowens are better. I guess I always think of Bowen whenever I see a BH Bisley. Yours is pretty darn special just the way it is. ENJOY !!!

Bowen does make the "Rough Country" for the flat top, but indeed not the target model. I put a RC on my Flat top #5 and really do like it.

My dealer sent me an email when Lipseys started getting them in.  Mine is supposed to be on the way, but she said maybe a couple of months so that means we may be further down in the pecking order for receiving them.  Now to just get the heart palpitations to stop long enough so I can find my brass and load up a few hundred rounds and get ready to shoot it when it gets here. 

Wohoo, pictures are better than the cover of the Dillon catalog!!

If I had had the choice I would have picked the Bisley .44 Special. However, when I ordered my .44 Lipsey Special, it wasn't an option. Now, I am so "wedded" to mine that I wouldn't change for all of the tea in China. I am flat ENAMORED of my Lipsey (5½"). The only thing I did was had a trigger job done. I REALLY like the "new" pawl. In fact, it spoiled me and after I received my SS Bisley .45 Colt/.45 ACP convertible I had the original pawl modified to a "free spin" pawl.

The .44 Specials are indeed SPECIAL revolvers.

Very nice! I have a Bisley and a Bisley Vaquero (in .44 mag) and love them both.
