My UV likes Win. SuperX for mag loads and I use mostly the Win. Dynapoint which is a 45gr. plated (not jacketed) lead bullet rated about 1550fps but chronos 1500ish out of mine. This is a close duplicate of the old .22 WCF ballistics of the late 1800s which Ned Roberts thought a 'fine small bore express'.

Glad to help. They sell out pretty quick so we weren't the only ones looking for them.

Rusty,
Did you get on their notification list? That's the only way I was able to take advantage of it quickly. The .22 mags. seem to sell out quicker than any other Handi, although I can't really say that about the .30-30. I've yet to see one of those for sale.

Thanks for the ammo suggestions, but it ended up limited by what the gun dealer had. I did manage to get three different types of .22 mag. to try, including Win. Super-X 40gr. JHP, Federal Game-Shok 50gr. JHP and a box of CCI Maxi-Mag.

Big Blue,

Thanks for the heads-up.  I've been looking for a 22 mag for several months, and just placed an order.

I shot mine today and it holds a 1" group at 50 yards with CCI maxi mag hp 40 g. from a rest, not bagged . Not bad for a brand new rifle.  26-t ;D

Gents,

Mine arrived today and I was very happy to see that it had the rear and front sight rather than the scope mount.  I'm going to install a WGRS aperture sight so now I don't have to fool with having a front sight added.  Will also replace the synthetic stock with a straight-grip wooden one I've been holding in reserve.
