So Obama and the democrats have been furiously throwing what is left of America's wealth to the wind. Bigger and bigger deficit spending, like drunken sailors, without apparant worry over their electability come next election time. A select few getting richer while the rest of us getting poorer. What is the logic of this? Maybe the possibility that they do not expect America, to resemble in 2012, anything like it did in 2008. What if, just sayin' now, they expect, on some good authority, that major cataclysmic events will dramatically change the landscape of the world, like astronomically or nuclear?

There really seems to be no good reason for them to continue to spend like they are, unless there is something in the wind and they got a whiff of it. I look for the bottom to drop out, and they are getting what they can while the getting is good. Just like a politician, to leave everyone in the lurch, holding the bag! Get your gold, silver, extra food, whatever supplies you can now, and don't forget the guns and ammo! Obama's Civilian Police Force, what ever he wants to call it...same size as the Armed Forces in our Military....1.385 million. Gun owners...66+ million...I like those odds. What it really boils down to is, they are very afraid of losing their power, and they can see it's getting ready to happen...it won't be fun, or nice and neat, but it has to come to a point sometime...might as well be on our terms, right? So, I say..."God Bless America",  Patriots, Constitutionalists, Liberty Lovers, Oath Keepers, Tea Party members, better think about coming together under a common cause, Freedom for America!

I don't think they do care if they lose their power. The democratic congress wants to socialize America as much as they can while Obama is in power, regardless who loses their seat. They know they will regain their seats in the near future when America gets mad at Republicans. The Democrats have not shown much sign of worrying about their power being lost.

This is my take on all of this, obama and his handlers know that there will be aprice to pay for their medical care plan. They are throwing the dem representatives under the bus, but once this entitlement goes into effect, it wont ever go away and when they are in power, and they have control of healthcare, the unions, and the banks, they will be in control of everything and elections will be.......... well they wont matter! Stop em now or it wont matter!

Oldshooter, I think you're on the righ track.  I also believe that a lot of the old hardcore Dems are realizing that their time is running out and they want to get their licks in before they retire.  They have a certain ideology which they are committed to and it is socialism and even communism, which most of them would not acknowlege, but it is nonetheless.  None of these people are smart enough, or wise enough to see the damage they are doing.  They are just as soft in the head as they think they are in the heart.

Actually I suspect it's more of a smoke and mirrors kinda thing. They are giving you the impression of change and most folks will think all is fine again so long as there is a change.

What is sneaky about it tho is that likely the folks in both parties that are on the ballot to replace them will be no different than what's there now but just cuz it's someone different most will not realize that until it's too late.

Notice all the dems resigning from office this is a plan to put a new face before the voter and hope that the voter is too stupid to figure out that it is the same plan with a new face and name. I'm willing to bet 5 bucks that it works.
They passed a pay as you go bill one week and then spent a few billion with no way to pay for it the Kentucky senator who tried to get them to live with what they passed  was described as a jerk taking food out of babies mouths in the press with no mention of the pay as you go bill.  Every one of these jerks will have an ad telling the voters that they voted for budget  responsibility with the pay as you go bill. Bet you another 5 that this works too.
