 Guys dont know if you seen the sponsor down on the Indiana forum or not. But we have a sponsor. BFG Design LLC. He is offering the .458 Socom for the Encore and AR15. Should be an awesome deer gun ;) Thought I would share. Guess I need to upgrade from my Contender to the Encore.

The 458 SOCOM for deer I would think would be great.

The 458 SOCOM for an AR-15 is great; I have one.

The 458 SOCOM for an Encore; not so great.  First of all, being a rebated cartridge, as noted on the other post, the Encore ejector won't work.  So what you need is a rimmed cartridge with the same dimensions as the 458 SOCOM cartridge which I guess is available but will never be as available as the regular 458 SOCOM brass.
