Thanks guys.

I have some antiquated equipment and looking for new stuff, starting with a Saint Croix rod made in Wisconsin. I WILL NOT buy this equipment of foreign manufacture.

:D Cheese, I have two St. Croix rods..both of the Avid series...one 6 wt 9ft. and a 3 wt. 7 ft.  Really, like these rods..they are a bit "soft' when compared to some newer rods, but that is the action I like best...Also have a Cabela's 9ft.6wt. in a medium action..very nice also...good luck...

Ross reels are made here and their quality is excellent. Their Flyrise models sell for around $100 and have the same drag as some of their higher end models. I lucked into a couple of their Evolution models for half price a while back. They are very nice. Here is a link to Ross' site.

I like and use Phluegers(I had to check the Sp. too) as well. They are my favorite mid priced reels, BUT, sad to say they are no longer made in America and haven't been for a good while. :(

The flyrise is from thier ross "world wide" brand.....not made in the U.S.  The higher end ross reels are made in Colorado though.  Ross, Galvin, Abel, and bauer are all made in the U.S.
