BC 45LC ?'s
« on: March 05, 2010, 07:24:49 PM »
Hi all,

New guy, but reader for awhile. I'm looking to pick up a new BC 45LC to go w/my Blackhawk convertible. Does the BC use the stronger of the two frames (SB2?) that H&R offers? I shoot 300-335 gr factory ammo (Buffalo Bore, Doubletap, Corbon) out of the Blackhawk. Will the BC handle a steady diet of this stuff (until I start reloading)?  Does the BC have any provision for installing a low power scope (already drilled/tapped?)? Finally, anyone have a photograph of the front sight area? Thank you.

Welcome! The BC frame is the same SB2 frame that comes on the Handi which is factory chambered in 270 Win and 500S&W, it just has faux case coloring, it will handle much more than any 45C load, I rechambered mine to 460S&W.  ;) ALL H&R centerfire rifle barrels are drilled and tapped for a scope base, the front sight is the Marbles .570" 57W.
