Please add Will (8y/o) and Tate(6y/o) Evans please.  If they are eligible.  This is my first visit to the Rimfire Handi area.  I do have a .357/20ga that I have been trying to get Will's first deer with(been 9 times- he has sat atleast 3 hours each time and we havn't seen a glimpse of a deer yet).  Anyway this is a great idea, thanks for the opportunity.

I would love to put my little mans name in here please. It is Harley David Berry. He was born with a genetic disorder caled adreneluchadistrophy I know it's hard to say, and even harder to spell. There was a movie made about it called "Lorenzo's oil" it is very rare and he wont live longer than he's earley 30's it was passed from my ex wifes father who died from it and it was passed through her to him. He cant have more than 10 gram's of fat intake each day or it will make him mentally retarded cause the fat cell's passes directly through adrenal glands. It is sad when he comes over on the weekends and my daughter is eating some junk food, it really upsets him alot and makes him cry, which hurt's my heart so much. He will be 8 soon and everytime I go shootin at the range I bring him with me, and he loves that so much. I just wished I could afford a complete rifle for him to use , cause all my stuff is way to big and powerful for him to try. But he is deffinately a gun nut like his old man. My daughter is the complete opposite which I am fine with in due time I hope she will come over to our side and enjoy the finer things like shooting, and hunting. This next hunting season he told me he really wants to go, so I am trying to teach him the important gun safety tips and proper use of a firearm. I have been on unemployment for too long and here in vermont there is a serious lack of jobs to find. So I can not afford a rifle for him to take hunting and he is a little upset about that, but who know's what the future holds for him. I just want to enjoy what little bit of life he will have and try and make it better and enjoyable for him. I come from a family with both of my parents were police officers and hunters, so I want him to grow and learn how to put some deer on the table. I think this program has all the right stuff for the little ones to enjoy the huntin life. Thanks a-lot guy's and good luck.

2 days to go and still no barrel. :o

Read through the posts here, there are some really deserving children that will greatly benefit from this opportunity. If someone wants to sell a barrel, let me know, we can work something out.  ;)

Today, I threw all the names of every single person into a small baby shoe box and had my daughter pull a name out of it. I have to admit that was easier said than done, she's only 6 months old. ;D

Drum roll, please...................

And the lucky kiddo is............

Throw in my two Andy and Kyle.

Ed, please send me your info via PM. We will get everything shipped to you and I will include some cash donations for a barrel purchase, when one comes available. ;)

Thanks to all those who have donated items or services!

Thanks, Dinny

Dinny, since we don't have a barrel, I'll skip the ammo donation (Caliber???) and send 25 bucks toward the barrel.

Wow.   I was busy.  Andy and I just got back from our Cub Scout Spring Jamboree.  You know I entered this for my kids because neither have a gun yet and it would be a great starter gun, however, My family while not thriving in this economy, is blessed with what we need and I think there are probably people out there more in need.  SO.  I will pass the rifle on to the next in line and I'll buy Andy one myself.  This is a good forum and I hope the next in line can use it.

He's gonna be one happy kid!
Goodonya, guys for all you have done in these, I only wish that we could get more of the 'membership' involved. When this chap or that makes a big part or money donation it may put some off, but if only a small percentage of our forum threw in a buck or so nobody would be having to foot the bill big time to make it happen.
Its a great cause! Lets keep it rollin'!
