A couple of questions about the .45 Colt Buffalo Classic.

Thinking of getting one soon.
Does it have the same sights as the standard Handi's or is it a buckhorn/bead?
If it's a buckhorn, does it look like a standard dovetail for possible replacement?

One thing I love about my Handi SB-2 .357/30-30 is the sights, nice square post in front and a great flat top, rectangular notched rear. Makes for easy sighting with less than perfect vision.

What's the going price these days? I found one for $300 + tax + shipping.

I've always been a .357 Mag guy, but recently I tried a friends .45 Colt Winchester '92 clone, and fell in love with the round. Thinking of a BC Handi-Ruger Redhawk combo in .45 Colt to match my .357 Handi-S&W model 10 combo.

I guess I like the combo's, but I don't think I'm alone there.

It is mounted in a dovetail, different than the standard sight but not really a buckhorn.  My first one was just over $300, the last one I feel like I stole it. ::)  If you have a Sportsmans Warehouse in your area, see if they have one or can bring one in for you, they had one here that was priced $219.99 when they closed, and I got 5% off that. ;D  One of my better deals on a new gun. ;)  Get one, they are a great mate for the Ruger Redhawk, (I got one of those as well in 45 colt) as both will take any Ruger/TC load with ease.  DP

$290 in Rochester, not too far away, thanks for the link. I've never really used Davidson's before.

Hammerhead, a 45LC exceeds the capabilities of a .357 Magnum (in rifle or revolver) so much that the two can't be compared, IMO.  I've always loved the 45LC in a revolver, but when you stuff a properly loaded round into a rifle, the possibilities are endless.  I think a BC 45LC is as easy to carry as a revolver, and much more potent.  All the BC needs is a decent set of sights, or a scope.
