I think if they held him in pre-trial with genpop at Leavenworth, what would happen would defy all our imaginations.
WOW that is a good idea, shocking it coming from a Chaplain.
What some folks around here forget about me is that I lost a lot of really good men, close friends, in multiple tours to combat, close to 40. As Chaplain I lived out in the FOBs with them, went on patrol with them, prayed over their remains, did all the memorial services on the battlefield, wrote letters and made phone calls to family members, and then did the services when we got back home and had to look in the eyes of all the families, some of whom were the product of weddings I'd officiated prior to deployment. I'm the one their closest buddies went to afterwards to talk about it. I went out with the buzzard details to collect remains from catastrophic IEDs. I helped the trauma responders while we waited for the medevac choppers. I scared my wife out of 5 years when I had to call and tell her I was wounded, thankful that I could personally make that call.
I am in no way shape or form opposed to justice for those who perpetuate harm against Americans. I pray they will repent and turn to God for forgiveness in the here after, but know that all actions bear consequences in the hear and now. I agree with Al Qaeda
on this, its not right that we have an all-muslim detainee camp in Illinois. I think they should be held in genpop like all other criminals in the military system, particularly traitors. I don't think they should have any additional protection from the consequences of the life they've chosen, even if they wind up held with a bunch of angry patriots with nothing to lose.
