"There was a time in our history when gentlemen could exchange ideas on difficult subjects, even heatedly so, then slap the table and walk off friends. Nothing saying we can't do that here. "

They fought a lot of duels back in those days also. ;D

Normally over personal insults, not the topics themselves, truth be told. Knowing you might have to duel over your words probably kept a civil tongue in some heads. Perhaps it needs to be reintrodcued into our culture ... pistols at 200 paces would be my preference.  ;D

Why not 15 paces to make certain the matter is resolved?

Cause for some reason I can hit the rams all day with my .44, its the chickens and turkeys that get me.

12 Gages with buckshot should be the weapon.

But at 15 paces with pistols, you can find out if the man really believes in what he says.

Old Fart, how about empty beer cans at 6 feet?  ;D

TN I'm just trying to be fair, even the more mature fellers who's sight isn't as sharp and hand isn't as steady would have a chance then. If'n I remember correctly the shotgun was the weapon that made even the toughest pistoleros shake in their boots.

Fast and accurate are second to nerve, and regardless whom has the most of the latter, the matter is resolved.

I'll go along with the 15 paces, and shoot em in the back of the head at 10. Wasn't it Bill Jordan who said "there are no second place winners"?

Ahhhh dukkiller, you are already gun shy, and guilty of that awful word, and act of ASSUMPTION. You have already fallen victim of the fear that someone will "read into my posts", that YOU are the culprit, when my point was only that you had voluntarily accepted the saddle, without so much as pitching a little, when I wished you luck with your most frustrating task.
I will exit the forum, and let you have your experiment, unfettered by me.
Dee,
So I don't read anything wrong into this, what did you mean by the last statement in this post?

I meant that I would cause him no problems with any type of argument with others on my behalf why?

Exit the forum. To me sounded like you were leaving at least the thread, but you kept stiring the pot so I was just curious what the statement ment to you. ;)

Dee, it's not a opinion. It's the meaning of what you said in the english language. "Exit the forum" can only mean one thing. You did not do what you said you would do. Just be fair, and expect of yourself what you expect of others......
