357 bullet in 35 Rem

Anyone handload a .357 pistol bullet in the 35 Remington? I am thinking of handloading some 140 grain solid copper Barnes bullets. They claim they will hold up in the higher velocity but I am wondering about accuracy.

I haven't tried the Barnes, but I used to load up Hornady 125 gr and 158 gr in my .35 Rem for plinking and the occasional ground hog. Accuracy was excellent in my barrel using RL-7. I'd expect the same from the Barnes.

Depends on your barrel. Most work best with .358 bullets.

Thanks for the comments. My motivation is that I am changign to all copper bullets. I have kids and am not sure I want to risk any lead contamination (I understand that it is debatable). I wish there was a solid copper 358 bullet that would expand at 35 rem velocities but i have yet to find one.
I think I will buy a box and give them a try.
