Don't have much in the way of help for ya stimpy, but yup, happens to me too. And it doesn't happen with all my stocks, just one wood, and one synth (on a Sportster). Haven't done anything special to avoid it. I just tighten 'em when necessary. It happens with the synth more often, so I suspect it has nothing to do with temp and humidity here in the Pacific NW. (And, now that I think of it, it was the same Sportster when I lived in NM a few years back.) Maybe it's the metal flexing rather than the stock..?
Anyway, it's just something I figure I'll live with. Hope ya get more help than I have to offer (i.e. none)
... hey, Big Blue just might have hit on it - the weight of the paint changes the center of gravity ... or just plain keeps the stock bolt trembling with nervousness!
