CENSUS NOTICE.

Got the notice today that they'll send it out in a week or so. At the bottom were instructions for a website for help, in SIX languages. This is America, we speak ENGLISH here. I posted this earlier today, but it never made it, lost in space I reckon. POWDERMAN.

my state, missouri, has a law that ALL government business will be conducted in english, I think some other states do to.

now there needs to be a 10th amendment movement to force the bs pc federal agenda to the trash, no multi-lingual census anywhere.  if they can't speak english, how'd they get a drivers license, know who's birth certificate they have (snicker), etcetera..  minefields on the borders, drones scouting a two mile strip.  that's what we need (maybe multilingual signs saying welcome to america just before the minefields though)

Under Constitutional mandate, the Federal Government is obliged to count us, that is it.  They aren't required to:

1.  Take our names (I really don't have a problem with this)
2.  Collect any demographics (I have a huge problem with this)
3.  Force their way into our homes

etc.

If they wish to count us in every numerical sequence existing on Earth, fine.  I'll be glad to fill the first part out (the count), in English, but that's pretty much all that I am going to do.

There is nothing that gives them the right to come into your house.
If you mail it back in, answered, that is the last you will hear of it unless you put down a bunch of bull, then you can bet they will pay you a visit.
Even then, they still can't come in your house.
There is nothing in the questions that is supposed to be on the paper that even if you did answer incorrectly would give them probable cause for a search warrant.
If they do pay you a visit, step outside and talk to them.
DO NOT invite them into your house.
There is nothing about the census that has anything to do with the inside of your home!
In my case I would tell them that there has been no changes since the last census was taken except the ages are now different.
Look at the old one and add however many years to it.
Nothing has changed.

I had a fat old graybearded (no offense graybeard) hippie rap on my door yesterday.  He had a Subaru plastered with bumper stickers (one of which was an Obama campaign one) and he said he was a census worker.  He handed me an envelope, and also a printout that was in Spanish and English.  I lit into him and told him my dead grandparents were Polish and I demanded equal time out of respect for their memory.  Likewise for every other group that's originated from other languages who also deserve equal treatment. Otherwise he and his liberals were discriminating against everyone that don't speak Spanish.  Why Spanish?   I then pointed to his Obama sticker and told him I didn't vote for that guy and never will.  He started to stammer something, thought better of it.  All of those other folks (including my grandparents) came here years ago legally, learned English on their own, worked hard, never whined or took welfare and became non-hyphenated Americans.  They demanded no special breaks.  Why's there discrimination now?  This census this time around is rigged to provide social benefits to some specific group--and I suspect it's the illegal aliens that the liberals love so well.

We have to remember that is supposedly 60,000 jobs they have made.
Looks good on paper and in their talks but what happens after the census is done.
No more job, 60,000 unemployed again!

Census materials are in 50 languages besides English. Arabic, Farsi, Chinese to name a few, and Polish by the way. There is no citizenship requirement to participate that I can find. Lots of wasted $.

They ask about income, ages, etc. I thought a United States census was to count AMERICANS, not trespassers or other nationalities. If they are citizens they should speak and read ENGLISH. POWDERMAN.

There is widespread, well-reported unemployment across the entire United States right now.  It has hit pretty much every occupation.  How come our Department of Homeland Security, Citizen and Immigration Services part, is still adjudicating nonimmigrant petitions and extensions for H1B workers, and petitions filed by employers for permanent skilled workers?  How will the laid-off nonimmigrant H1B workers who, in the infinite wisdom of Congress a few years ago, changed the law so that these people, if they got laid off, could stay in the US and look for another job?  These folks will somehow be counted in this census. Right now, Obama has been reported as saying his next big fixup after health care is immigration.  Great timing--right at census time.  We got "change" all right!

Still chaps my hide that "white" is considered a race ... its not, its a color. I just read through the Informational Documents on the Census.gov site, which are NOT forms by the way (they repeat that everywhere), and the ethnic options are White, and a whole bunch of other options, with special emphasis on Hispanic and Asian. There's a single question devoted to which type of Hispanic are you, with a breakout of all the south and central american varieties. But everyone that did not come from africa, asia or the americas you have your choice of white.

Wasted dollars is right!  Most of those folks speaking those other languages came here legally, and learned to talk English.  They may not be citizens but are supposed to be lawful permanent residents.  That would be the bulk of those, and they generally make good citizens, residents, and earn their keep. Then you have the illegal crowd that seems to demand, through their liberal American "activist" buddies, everything under the sun right now at our expense. How many times to you make a phone call to some business, get an automated answering machine, and it speaks to you in English, then Spanish?  Only Spanish! Never the others because they didn't feel entitled to it and don't demand it.  For the most part, when they come they learn English and don't whine about having to.

IMO the reason they sent the separate mailing is to inject millions of dollars into the post office at tax payers expense to make it look like the USPS is not losing so much money.  Can we say redistribution of weath AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just read today in the Lou courier journal that at a mayoral conference for the politicians to make their pitch they had interpretors  in French, Spanish, and Swahili. If they don't speak English why are they getting ready to vote??? I don't think anybody not an American citizen should be allowed to vote, and it better be in ENGLISH.  POWDERMAN.

Yep, I agree. I checked "Other" and wrote in Slavic.  My wife said "White" until I pointed out that there are 51 flavors of asian listed, and 57 of pacific islanders, and that American Indians get to list the tribe.  She changed it to celto-germanic.  If everyone else gets to be broken down into little groups, then, py-cholly, then so should those of european stock.  Why should a Piedmonter lumped in as being the same as a Bavarian or a Tuscan or a Magyar or Alsatian or Swede?

Seems I heard that 2 or 3 million was spent on advertisement for the census. Its to count the heads, it aint the superbowl!

Realy guys what do we legally have to say? got mine today too. Will get papers in a week. Seams to me all they need to know is how many and the names of the residents in the household. All this other personal info seams not legal!
