This forum needs a moderator any takers?

We've not had a moderator here in a long time. I believe it is active enough to justify having one. I'm looking for volunteers.

OK I suppose we can give you a try at it. You've been appointed.

I do confess to preferring to select Moderators from folks who've been around longer and have more of a track record but I have appointed folks with a shorter history and fewer posts than you to the job before. Most tho not all such new folks to the site who have been appointed as a moderator have disappeared from the site completely within six months but one or two hung around and did a fair job and became regulars here.

Now that you are a Moderator you should be able to see the Moderators ONLY forum in the Help and announcements section. I have a couple posts stickyed at the top that gives a complete explanation of what is expected and even a bit of the how to of doing it.

It also serves as a place to ask questions if you have doubts as to what action to take and is a wealth of info from questions asked and answered in the past. It is also a place where others who have been moderators a long time can help even faster than I can at times.

Let me know if you can't see it as you should be able to now. It has far more info than any PM or PMs could provide.
