America may become a minority-majority country by the middle of the century

Today's article on birth stats in the U.S. kinda says a few things without saying a few things.

I track these stats too every now and again. The following is quoted from the CDC lest any cry foul.

• Childbearing by unmarried women has resumed a steep climb since 2002.
• Births to unmarried women totaled 1,714,643 in 2007, 26% more than in 2002. Nearly 4 in 10 U.S. births were to unmarried women in 2007.
• Birth rates have risen considerably for unmarried women in their twenties and over, while declining or changing little for unmarried teenagers.
• Nonmarital birth rates are highest for Hispanic women followed by black women. Rates for non-Hispanic white and Asian or Pacific Islander women are much lower.
• Most births to teenagers (86% in 2007) are nonmarital, but 60% of births to women 20–24 and nearly one-third of births to women 25–29 were nonmarital in 2007.
• Teenagers accounted for just 23% of nonmarital births in 2007, down steeply from 50% in 1970.

I study alot on extended adolescence too, since I work with primarily 20-30 yo military members, and I've learned a couple things.
- White young men primarily, but increasingly so among Hispanic and Black men, are often remaining in a state of "teenager" well into their early 30's. Often enabled by their parent, or divorced parents.
- So women aren't interested in marrying them, but still want to have children even if it means going alone.
- If the women go ahead and marry the big kid anyway because they're pregnant, the divorce rate among young military couples in that scenario regardless of race is nearly 100%.
- Add to that homosexuality is at least twice as prominent among white young men and women than other ethnic groups.

All of this tells me that some of us need to get out there and stop raising kids, and start raising men.

Our local paper only had 2 birth notices in it. Both were to unmarried couples who were PROUD to announce the  birth of their out of wedlock children. How far we have fallen. POWDERMAN.

That's so sad. To see the parents treat their children that way. Why are so many young men "coming out". Is it because they really are gay from birth or could it be that they have been so indoctrinated that their minds have been conditioned to believe that it is ok to be homosexuals? Could it be that they have no positive male role models in their life or very poor ones that they don't know how to be a man and so continue to be a boy well into their adult lives? It just pains me to see so many parents just give up raising their children to be self sufficient and contributing members of society. I don't know just asking questions? Steve

Being gay is very difficult for many. I know a few that don't dare tell their parents, even though they are 40-50 years old. Successful people that do all they they can for their elderly parents, but no guts to speak up for themselves.

Where the hell are they going to find a male roll model? The American man is dominated by his wife or female partner. 90% aren't men at all. They have to get permission form the boss before they do any thing! That includes buy a gun or go hunting.

I know that us manly men are dying off but since there are still some of us around we can have a positive influence on the young folk. I used to coach my daughters in fastpitch softball and coached squirts hockey. Those jobs are so important to help shape and mold those kids into upstanding adults. My wife and I met when her son was just 10. It was just the two of them since his birth. So he never had much male influence in his life. Since we were married he is becoming a fine upstanding young man. She did an excellent job raising him by herself with no help from his dad. He considers me his dad now because I chose to be here with them. Together we are raising him into I hope and pray to be the hope of our future. I know that he will because he has been taught well. We may be in the minority in the future but we need to convey as much knowledge and good experience to our young people as we possibly can to insure that we arent a feeble "needs govt help" minority!

As to the gays, They are just like the rest of the weak and needy population, no one expects anything from them and they are happy to comply. Plus the fact that they are taught that its just fine to gay.

Pat Buchanan stated 15 years ago that the white population would soon be in the minority, so a 48% hispanic birth rate last year should come as no suprise. We had the facts, nothing was done, and now its too late. And remember they now have all the same rights as us.

What should have been done , was to kick all the illegal aliens out of the country! Stop paying blacks and various other shades of trash to lay on their back and spit out babies!
   I saw on TV where they were interviewing an old black woman that was home-less. They asked how she became homeless. She stated that all her children had gotten grown and they stopped her check! She had been living quite well on Aid to dependant children for forty-five years!
   The reason it is to late is nothing will be done.

I Don't think it is ever too late! But just sitting around whining wont get anything done. The fact that no one is willing to do anything that has power merely means  "WE" need to get them out of power.

A problem that is evident is that some,even on this site, don't have a clue and only want some messiah to come down in his "perfectness" and make it all ok.  It didn't get this way over night and it wont be fixed overnight. It will require diligence and hard work, heck it may even require bloodshed.

3. Education reform - my son went to a seminar yesterday to prepare for his next SAT. Its a documented fact that the essays are graded by female educators who lean to the liberal socialist agenda. They tested this by submitting essays that contained no documentable fact, in fact one actually created an historical depression out of thin air, made up governmental figures, total fabrication, and it received an 11 out of 12. Oh, and they quoted fictitious female personages. Not interested in truth or values, just socialist agenda.

And of course immigration reform.

OS, thanks for the compliment, sincerely. I thought about it long ago, but God gave me a different pulpit to fill.

I do think part of the issue is that MEN are not participating in the political process apart from grumbling and whining. I'm actually encouraged by the Tea Party as of late despite my earlier misgivings. But the bottom line is we need a lot of the fellas on here, and their sons and their grandsons to step out and pick up the burden of public policy.
