the problem is that you need to import an italian macaroni drill to be able to drill the bore in the same shape

gary save that one , it would be a fun piece to cast
could give it a 30 cal bore and shoot firecrackers from it

it would sure be a cannon that people should remember after seeing it

Good Gravey this is the winter with no end ....Mike ,Bruce and I were cutting trees in my backyard yesterday under blue skies . Today at about 10 :00 am it started raining/snowing .

Now there is 4 more inches and it supposed to snow all day tomorrow for a total of up to 16 inches ........

Big heavy wet tree breaking snow at that .

Dan hows the weather there ? BTW I saw a travel show about Stockholm ,wow what a nice looking city .
some pink double breasted suit wearing singer was featured ..... Lots of old school buildings next to the water  .

Gary btw I'm justa whinning !

It snowed here last night too and more coming. So much for shooting my cannon and driving winter away last Saturday. The humor has left the situation. I'm going to buy a color comb and a pair of yellow pants and head for Boca. ;D

How can you guys handle the cold?  The trees here have already pollinated and have green leaves.  I had to mow the grass two days ago.
On the other hand the dead days of summer, July and August are pretty tough around here. :-\

Tim , Your 1838 cannon was born this morning at @ 10:15 am MST (daylight saving) and is now begining to cool .  8)

Gary

Btw when I ordered my lefthand flinter from the builder he suggested something that sounded odd at the time . He said I should get a book , a smallish blank bound notebook and to keep a record of every shot (more or less) and events used in .

I am very happy I took his advise because now I have some documentations of a State Championship and all reactions at the time . Turkey shoots with folks who have passed on . Mermories galore everytime I open that book . Old targets etc ....

Two Morkos too , one with your name on it GulfCoast .

Gary

Spring has Finally sprung in Colo. My trees bloomed today . Winds are about 45-50 steady with gusts to
60 + ?

Mike and I drove up to Casper Wyoming yesterday in the Smart car . That thing punches the wind pretty good ,  50 mpg to boot . The snow does not melt in Wyoming it just wears out .

80 mph minimum , but tight like a Cessna 172 . We wanted to find a Walmart . We did too  ;D

260 miles one way ............ I hear that in Europe that would be excessive  :D .
There's just is not a Walmart on every corner here .  :o

Just another day in paridise . Gary

eta , I just read Tims ? to me . I am flattered as YOU are the final inspector ,

honestly Tim it has been known to me as "The Spud Gun" to me from the begining .  ;D Thats the truth .

Spud Gun is my vote.

Was the camera under warranty?  If not, that's not a good error - you may be better off getting a new one. :'(

I'd love to see some pictures (and not just of Spud Gun if you know what I mean)! ;)

M&T - how about giving Gary a hand with getting some pics up? :)

M&T - how about giving Gary a hand with getting some pics up? :)

That all depends, Gulfcoast on whether he plans on stopping at our favorite gas station at north longmont st. and the valley highway before heading for the Broomfield Cannon Manufactory.  Gonna pick up something for us, Gary?, and we don't mean gas!  Quid Pro Quo, Gary.
Quid Pro Quo.  Just put a fresh battery in the camera, Gary; it's in fine condition and ready to go!  Friday afternoon sounds good or morning if you get an early start.  Hate to see you disappoint all these fellows, Gary.  Be sure you stop; don't forget.   ::) ::)

Yes I will stop at your favorite truck stop , and gladly buy you breakfest burrittos . They are the best deal around .

Would you like 4 , two for each of you ? Tell Mike to stand by for 'heavy seas' , I gotta go find a 3/4 - 1" or 5/8 inch drill to drill the bore of an 1838 cannon .

Quick note , Tim your gun was not cast , now thats not all bad becuse everyone has a learning curve .
We lost abit of muzzle detail on the 1838 that was cast .

The one with 'your name' on it  is still wax . My two cannons a howie and mortar came out great !

I'll post pics with my wifes phone cammera . All in all an excellent day .

Tracy did you enjoy your burritto ?

I think your cannon was the one cast  ;D .........yep ....'thats the plan' (B.F.)

It was not ready to pick up as it had huge sprues on it .

Both the caster and I will learn this stuff on your gun  ;D. But you do get #1 gun ,so theres that .
Gary

seriouly I hope nothing serrious came up .

Gulfcoast no morkos yet , but they are all sprued up nice so next time . :(

Aww shucks. :( ... :D

It's alright.  I do have an event coming up on Independence Day that I was looking forward to use the Morko on, though it may happen yet if the next batch gets done soon enough.  Not a big deal, though.  I've been waiting to get my hands on a handgonne for about 5 years now, so a little longer won't kill me...especially for what I'll end up with.

Sorry we missed you, Gary the 3 year old terror was getting anxious, we had to take him to a park.  His fav is City Park, of course where all those seacoast guns are.  Gee I wonder who taught him about those?  Glad to hear that those two turned out well.  Well, we all have learning curves I guess.  Thanks for leaving those burritos in the mail box.  Only one left when we got back, I guess the mailman snapped one down!

Gary,
I do not want to get to excited, but is that 1838 staying in Colorado?
