Buy a copy of Quickload. You'll thank yourself many times over.

General wisdom has it you use a starting load for the AI that is the maximum load for the non-AI.  Larry

on my 30-06 imp
i use near max loads for 06 and fire them,
also to save money on bullets.
I use 13 grains of some old  231 win powder
with a piece of toilet paper on top of powder

then I use junk tumbler media and pack it in
and fill it up into the neck

then I use crisco and fill the rest of the neck.

then shootem up. ;D

also as said above I start with known data or start with
a max load and work up to a imp load.

hope this is what you are looking for.

thank you,i guess i was looking for a shortcut.plan on starting with regular loads for fireforming

yes standard 25-06 will shoot and fire form, that was the idea of the ackley imp

If I were to post my load data for my model 70 25-06 Ack Improved I would be banned for life from this site. Lets just say It will do all that a 257 Weatherby will actually do (data from actual chronograph testing with a Mark V and factory ammo  . Case life is good and it is very accurate. Drops Texas whitetails in their tracks.Shooting from my Lazy Boy equipped deer blind head shots at 347 measured yards are the norm. I think it is a great cartridge and very useful, Would not hesitate to shoot an elk with it .
