Track of The Wolf
« on: March 14, 2010, 04:32:28 AM »
I have delt with Track for years on supplies, etc but am now looking at some of their muzzle loaders for sale on the site.  Any one bought one from them? How are their prices compared to others?  I have always been happy with their service etc just have not purchased a completed gun from them.
Thank You

I think they are fair, it's not a place to shop for bargins because they do know what a gun is worth but they will be fair and if there are any problems they will work with you to make it right. A good friend has done a couple of trades with them and he was satisfied.

I live near enough to get there 1'nce a month or so.

Dave himself deals with the guns. He's a shrewd trader, but not hungry for profit. coyotejoe said it well.

Everything is in top shape before it's sold, or if a true antique it's condition is fully disclosed.

Some of those custom made guns are REALLY nice, they ARE worth the money asked!! Some of them are on display in the showroom, and can be handled if you ask.

I have purchased 4 BP guns from them so far and I am well satisfied. Their descriptions are accurate and the prices have been fair for me.

I found Sitting Fox Muzzleloaders to be another excellent source - especially for kits, but they have completed guns also.

I haven't bought guns from TOTW, but I've bought enough other stuff to believe that they're very fair and good people to do business with.

Tried to work a trade with them once.   They offered about 20 cents on the dollar for my trade and wanted $1.10 on the dollar for theirs.   Kept my custom rifle, and left theirs there for somebody else to buy.
Evolution at work. Over two million years ago the genus Homo had small cranial capacity and thick skin to protect them from their environment. One species has evolved into obese cranial fatheads with thin skin in comparison that whines about anything and everything as their shield against their environment. Meus

They're not too bad.  Dixie has cheaper stuff sometimes. Shop around.
