Just in case anyone else wanted to remove there sights, I have done it with mine and will include some pics so you know what to expect. I had to take a straight slot screwdriver bit and grind the center out of it to remove the round nuts, sorry I forgot to show it in the pic.
The front sight has 8 parts to it, ramp, sight blade, spring, pin, and 4 round spanner type nuts. The rear sight has 5 parts, ramp, rear sight, screw, washer, round nut.
As you can see the treaded studs that the ramps were mounted on are welded to the barrel and to remove them you would need to cut or grind them off , and file or grind the stud off flush with the barrel.
So once you do this there is no putting the sights back on. Hope this helps anyone thinking of doing this.

Added on 5/13 - Just one other thing to add, I cut off the treaded sight studs that were welded to the barrel, they are STAINLESS STEEL or of a alloy that will not take blue, so you cant hide the spots.
