Buyer Beware

I went to a local gun shop yesterday, just looking for a deal. I ask the Guy if he had any new Handi's in since my last visit. He pulled four from the rack and I started to look them over. All were new Ilion made. The second one I picked up just didn't feel right as soon as I lifted it up with one hand from the counter. You guessed it loose fit from the factory. I removed the forearm with my stubby screwdriver I always take when I'm gun looking and you wouldn't believe the slop at lockup. I showed it to the clerk and told him it should go back to the factory. Whether they do or don't I will probably never know. So to you I say beware of buying a new gun without a good inspection.

Did the serial number on the lug match the frame?

All the number's matched. These were factory scoped 223 and 22-50's with 24" barrels.

i've seen a couple like that at bass-pro....
they said , "if you don't buy it, someone else will".... :o

not if i can help it !!!!!!!! ;D ;) i told the clerk.

i spoke with the store manager about it. and he said they will go back to there
distributor the next day for a swap out !!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D
