Black Shadow Brushed Chrome
« on: November 14, 2003, 03:46:52 AM »
What information does anyone have on a Winchester 94AE Black Shadow Brushed Chrome? The Winchester tags on the rifle and the end label on the box indicate "Brushed Chrome". The only info I can get is it was for the 1999 Shot Show.

Model 94:  I have 3 Winchester Big Bores in 444 and one of them is the Black Shadow.  I am not aware of any 'brushed chrome' on my Black Shadow.  Mine looks like it is nothing more than a short stack (3/4 mag tube) typical Big Bore 94 with a crummy black plastic stock that doesn't fit as well as my Grandmother's teeth do.  Mikey.

Thanks for the reply. I did contact Winchester and found it was just for the 1999 Shot Show and only about 500 were made and was meant to be a special order only from the Shot Show. The brushed chrome has a dull stainless steel appearance. The fit is good as care must have been given for the ones on display.
