Boy, have my 'go tos' changed over the years. The older I get the worse my affliction 'nobuttatall' is and I cant hardly keep my pants up without braces, much less a heavy belt gun.
I used to favor my long gone S&W 624X4", 44 spl, but the last couple of years its been a joy to carry S&W 442 Airweght, 38Spl., usually with target loads, in a quick clip on the belt rig. It has more thump than my old .22LR kitgun and is easy on, easy off.
For a nostalgia walk-about I sometimes grap my 1919 Colt's Army Spl.X4" in 32-20. It rides better nowdays in an old western style shoulder rig (ala Doc Holiday) and is out of the way if I need to do something.
