well i got the Firepower Tactical Leg Holster from sportsmanguide.com and i been useing for some starling hunting. my rig is a m16 mag pouch on my left side and a old military surplus belt that is 1 3/4" wide. Well i used my HK usp co2 airgun which is a copy of the USP. the Weight is 2.18 lbs loaded and the real thing weight with magazine unloaded 1.69 lb so this is very close to the real deal. I used this gun in a sand pit around here and you can't run with the gun in there. The gun makes the holster move a lot when running but when walking your ok. Also the sights have a hard time clearing the holster and reholstering took a little more time. The lage safety catch on the side was why it could not be just go in. I could not just drop it in and had to push it a little. This holster seems to to be made for duty guns like 1911s, sigs or something with rounded sights. I tryed it with my dasiy 1200 with is a copy of a browning medalist. the 1200 is 1.9 lbs in weight and has a longer barrel on it. This gun worked very well in it, there was no movement and clearing was easy with it. I also have a airsoft glock 17 and it works well in there.
So this holster is a duty holster and maybe it would work with a ruger markIII Standard or a 22LR. I am keep it and useing for when i walk the woods. if i was hunting with a real gun i would use my UTG /Leapers UTG Deluxe Universal Horizontal Shoulder Holster it fit all handguns and revolvers and it the best holster i have found for me so far.
it does point straight back and will flashs if someone is in back of you but i hunt alone and the steel tabs on there so the hammer can not come down(tryed it with a Taurus Model PT1911) so it's safe to carry cock and locked. i made a review about it
http://www.gboreloaded.com/forums/index.php/topic,193614.0.html I am not going to buy anymore leg holsters. I staying with Shoulder Holsters, western style holsters and anything that rides low.
