Handi Rifle modifications
« on: March 22, 2010, 03:45:35 PM »
I am about to get a 223 to use for shooting targets and occasionally coyotes. What have you guys done to get them to look and shoot better. I am thinking about refinishing the stock. Has anybody refinished stocks on your rifles. If so could you post some pictures of them. Is there anything else you have done to them.

In the FAQ's they list up about every way to modify and accurize your Handi. Lots of pics and how-to's listed in there. I would start in there... probably can answer the majority of your questions.

Strip off the nasty stain and give the stock set a good oil finish. ;D
Don't go crazy modifying the rifle before you shoot it... it'll probably shoot good for you with no tinkering.
Buy the best scope you can afford.
