22 Remington Jet Rifle

I am pretty much a novice handloader and for the most part do things by the book and use book loads. But I got this 22 Jet now and there are few loads for it and I like the way LIL gun works out of my 22 Hornet. I got every thing I need now and am ready to load I have some H110 and will load a few using that but I want to try the lilgun also. So if I go to the book on Hornet loads I see H110 and lilgun loads and there is a 16% differance in them am I safe to assume that if I have a book load for the Jet w/H110 that I can do the same 16% conversion w/lilgun? I have slugged my bore it is .221 with a 1-16 twist this is a H&R Model 158 my Hornet bbl is exactly the same except the chamber. Should I use the rem 6 1/2 primers in the jet like I do the Hornet. The 45th Lyman shows the 6 1/2 old Sierra shows CCI 550. I am using .222 #2210 Hornady Jet bullets. Thanks Kurt

Nope , you can't just assume that a 16% difference for one round is the same for another , its even worse with little rounds like the Jet , Hornet & Bee were just a 1% or 2% can make a world of difference in pressures .

I'll send you a PM with some of the loads that I have worked out for my Jet , it should give you a place to start anyhow .

Just for my info, what rifle do you have? I've always thought the Jet would be a fun cartridge for a long gun. Please, give us a range report when you can.  thnx...

It is a Harrington Richardson Topper Model 158 my Hornet is a Model 157. Kurt
