Why would he do that?  We turned our backs on him in the late 1950s.

Churches across the U.S.A. are praying for this country .    Seems like this country is mocking and daring God to prove himself.   Therefore many are praying  Rev.22:20 ~" Even so, come, Lord Jesus."

The early church prayed for boldness ... perhaps if we had been so years ago we would not be where we are. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.

We need a whole lot more than Prayer!  We need ACTION!  Start with your local Government, then states!  Let's fight to get good honest citizens elected in NOvember!

Sheila.  I agree with you, but while praying keep your weapon loaded...........

I firmly believe that if things don't change there will be an uprising in the future.  We may not be too many years away.

God will intervene when we as a nation stop the porn and and all the garbage we see on TV and the killing of his gift to us the little children who are being aborted at a rate that is in the millions. The problem today is that people only wont God in their lives when things are bad not all the time, look at 9-11 churches were filled with over flow crowds. As has been said turn your back on go and this is where we find ourselves today. Please under stand I am using general terms as a nation, those of us who wont God in our lives that is great. The problem is we still have to go through this mess with the rest of the nation but God will watch over us and see to our needs.I once had a fellow ask me how long our church service was and and I said 2 hours, with that he said that if a preacher could not tell him what he needed to know in 45 minutes he was out of there, he was willing to give God 45 minutes of his time once a week. We need God in our lives 24/7 not for a few minutes one day a week. Most of our founding fathers were God fearing men who knew and understood where our blessings came from.

Of course it's that time of year when we study Exodus in SS leading up to our Resurection Sunday service. This year I kept having my attention diverted to the part that Egypt and the Egyptians played in this story (read God's plan). They were the most powerful country on the planet at the time. As we studied I couldn't help but draw parralels to our nation today.

Without prayer and without God, ACTION will be of as much use as the chariots were to the Pharoah as he road through the parted (temporarily) Red Sea.
With faith, all is possible. Not easy, but possible.

If you think there are parralels there, then you should read Malachi. All of it. He read our mail.

newstart2k ;
   In Dr. Lennart Moller's book 'The Exodus Case'.  Among his many discoveries strowed across the underwater land bridge lays a golden war chariot wheel on the bottom of the Red Sea near the Arabian side of the gulf of Aquba.  Proof that someone of royalty was in that chariot, and very probable the Pharoah himself .  The prayers of a righteous man is powerful and effective in modern times as well as it was in ancient times.   The prayers for America have already been answered, and the timing of his answer is forthcoming.

Amen to prayer.  Heather, I know you said we need action this fall, but we need action in the primaries to choose the right one to run in the fall.  Look at them all, I know there are 7-8 people running for governor in the Republican primary and only one or two in the Democratic.  Look and see what they believe in, look and see who actually can win.

So far I am throwing my support to Tim James for Governor.  He has an add that says he will NOT TAKE A PAYCHECK!  He is for auditing the Fed, against the HC bill, and thinks the spending by Washington is out of control.

I am too.  He is running on his own money.  I liked his father as governor.  He is from my home town originally - Opelika.
