Other barrels for Buffalo Classic?
« on: March 26, 2010, 11:53:02 AM »
Does anyone know if I can fit other centerfire barrels to my BC?

H&R used to offer the .38-55 barrel, but now lists just the 32" 45/70, which I already have.

I understand the forearm might need to be changed, too. I don't want to buy a whole new rifle if just a barrel will do.

The BC uses the same SB2 frame as any other Handi or Ultra, it's just faux case colored, as long as it was made 2000 or later, it can be fitted with all standard shotgun barrels and well as rifle barrels except rimfires. All forend channels are the same with the exception of some shotgun forends, see the FAQs for more info. The 38-55 was discontinued 2yrs ago, right after they finally got the chamber and bore corrected!  ::)

How about the .45 Colt 'mini buff' barrel?
I've had my .45 Colt Carbine for just a week now, but love it.

I am contemplating a few custom tubes for one of my two BC's like 6.5x55, 32 Win Spc, 32-20, 35 Rem, 7.62X54R, etc............ If I do move forward then the stub recipient will be something like a Lilja. OK, excuse me for polluting this post and rambling on endlessly as I drool over more stuff I don't need!  ;D

We're Handiholics, not BCholics or Ultraholics.  ;) They're all just Handis in different clothes.  ;D
