Nosler JHP Bulkets
« on: March 28, 2010, 01:50:04 PM »
Anybody have experience with Nosler JHP Bullets on game? They are really accurate in my .41 mags. I am pretty much a fan of cast bullets, but curious as to others experience with these.

I have some experience with the Nosler Partition JHP if that is the one you are referring to. In 44's and 454/45's they have been extremely accurate, and performance on whitetails is the best of any bullet I have ever used...period. The blood trails are extreme, and the deer do not go far with behind the shoulder double lung hits.

If your talking the bulk JHPs, I too like them in my .357 and .44 mags. Very accurate. Just ordered 2000 more last month when Midway had them on sale. In the .44mag, I use the JHPs for targets and the JSPs for hunting. Ain't seen what they do on deer yet, but can't believe they wont work

I've been using the " bulk handgun HP bullets" for some time now.  I like them for target, plinking , etc.....A couple years ago I ran out of my hunting load ( 240 XTP HP ) , since I had plenty of the Nosler bulk Hps , I loaded them with my hunting load. ( W 296 ).  I lost a very nice buck  , first and last deer I've lost to a handgun.  I have no proof it was a bullet failure, maybe it was a bad shot on my account.......all I know is , I'm back to using my XTPs over the W-296.  Last year the bisley got its first blood with that load.  Good luck
