Just bought a Interarms Mark x Mauser Mannlicher

Hi, I just bought a interarms Mark x Mauser Mannlicher stocked rifle in 30-06 caliber. Wondering about oppinions and experiences about these rifles . The rifle is like new (less than ten rounds thru it ). I probably paid too much for it $650.00 ? Dont worry bout hurting my feelings here just cause i have already bought it ! Just want to know about these rifles. Thanks,Craig

All Mark tens I have had have been exceptional shooters. Never had a Manlicher in a Mark ten,but have had others stocked in this way. If you remeber that the setup isn't condusive to benchrest accuracy, they will be more than acceptable in the field. I find a full stock rifle a joy to handle and shoot.  Good buy!

bcraig:  that's not a bad deal at all.  What you managed to score was pretty much a custom Mauser in 06 with a full length Mannlicher stock.  I wish you would/could post a few pictures, I'd like to see how she looks. 

Mauser98us is correct about the accuracy bit, as Mannlicher stocks have been known to play havoc with accuracy when the barrel gets warmed up but you can work on that problem fairly easily, if you want or need to.

HI,yes it is a good looking rifle. I have pics stored to my pics on the computer but dont know how to put them up here.PS the average 10 year old is more computer litterate than I am !! Craig  about the accuracy part I am not looking for 5 or 10 shot strings. All I want is a rifle that will put the bullet where i want it for one or two shots for hunting and doesn,t change POI.

My older brother had a interarms Mk mauser in 30-06 and it was awesome looking and it was very accurate too.  I wouldn't hesitate to pick one up if i seen one in the caliber i'm looking for.
