Share Lunker Program
« on: March 31, 2010, 06:22:24 AM »
Texas has a "Share Lunker Program".  You can donate any live bass 13 lbs. or bigger to the Parks and Wildlife to use in hatcheries and stocking programs.  You get a replica mount in return plus some other stuff.
Since the program was started there have been almost 500 bass donated.  The State is offering $50 per pound for the 500th bass as a reward.  That's at least $6500.
Maybe I'll win. ::)
Do you know of any other states that offer a program like this?

No I haven't heard of a program as such - but it sounds promising.  I'm sure the department knows the limitations as well as the benefits.  BT
