I've seen 375 H&H and 416 Remington. Also 300 Win Mag and 25-06 marked Custom Shop.

The list keeps growing. I would think the 12 guage 3 1/2 would be a duck or goose barrel but with smooth bore I am sure it would kill a turkey :) I also remember seeing a gun offered in 7x57 but price was way out of line 7x57 barrel is what I wont to pick up.

JW/OK was that a barrel or whole gun I have seen a post that said you need a mag frame marked mag to be able to use the mag barrels may be a little stronger.

My hunting buddy used to have the 375 H&H and the 416 Rem with a mag action.
One of Ed's helpers from Vinita has the two Custom Shop barrels I mentioned but won't turn loose of them just yet.

I have the History of the TCR by Charles Zimmerman "cz519@ptd.net". He listed 220 swift,375 H&H,300 mag,& 338 Mag. A person could buy about any caliber from the custom shop. I have a 6.5x55 TCR barrel that was not listed. I hope this will help. Twyman

     Catalog #11(1983) introduces the TCR'83 in calibers .223, 22/250, .243, 7M/M Rem Mag, and 30/06.
Catalog #12 introduces the TCR'83 Hunter Model(single trigger) and adds calibers 22Hornet, 270, and .308 in both models.
Catalog #13 adds caliber 222 to both models.
Catalog #14(1987) introduces the TCR'87 Hunter Model in same calibers as #13 in standard barrel and .223, 22/25, 7 M/M-08, .308, and 32/40 in a Silhouette/Varmit barrel.  A 12ga slug barrel is also listed.  Gone are the double set trigger models.
Catalog #15 offers the TCR'87 Hunter Model with a medium sporter barrel in same calibers as last years S/V barrel, a light sporter barrel in all previous calibers and a 12ga Hunter Shotgun with field barrel in your choice of 3" or 3 1/2" with full choke designed for steel shot.  Also a 10ga(3 1/2" screw in full choke) accessory barrel is added to the list.
     Catalog #16 Shows no changes
Catalog #17 The TCR models are gone.

Did the TC Custom Shop (before the recent temporary closure) still take orders for TCR barrels in recent years?

A couple weeks ago I saw a good deal on a TCR 83 and knowing about the fire and all I wanted to know if there were any repair parts in case something broke so I called TC and the nice lady said that they had a large stock of replacements parts for warrenty work but none for sale, I also ask if there were any barrels laying around or were they going to be offered if and when the custom shop re opened and she said no. There have been a number showing up on Gun Broker even saw a 6.5x55 the other day and Ed who is a sponser on this site has them from time to time. I would like a 7mm08 to go with my others but have had no luck so far.

I have some information that is a little different than that from Hopalong7. I could be wrong because I don't have a complete catalog no 10. However, I have the cover of catalog 10 with sheets that have TCR options. I think they are also from catalog 10 but am not absolutely 100 percent sure. The date I had written on the catalog cover was september 1993 so the TCR's there would have been TCR-87's. Both the single trigger TCR Hunter Rifle reciever assembly and the double trigger TCR Deluxe Model were shown. If the TCR shotgun reciever assembly was in the catalog, I do not have that page.

The regular factory rifle barrel offerings were 23-inch light sporter rifle barrels in .22 Hornet, .222 Rem, .223 Rem, .22-250, .243 Win, .270 Win, 7mm/08, 7mm Rem Mag, .308 Win, .30/06, .300 Win Mag, .338 Win mag. The 25-7/8-inch medium sporter barrels were offered in .223 Rem, .22-250, .220 Swift, 7mm/08, .308 Win, .32/40, and .416 Rem (with muzzle tamer). I do not understand why the 7mm Rem Mag and .300 Win Mag were offered in the light 23-inch barrel but not the longer heavier barrel.

There was a choice of two 22-inch shotgun barrels in 3-inch 12-ga both with iron sights. One had a smooth cylinder bore and the other had a fully rifled bore. There was a choice of two 25-inch shotgun barrels. One was 12-ga with a 3.5-inch chamber and the other was 10-ga with a 3.5-inch chamber. Both had a front bead and s "full" insert choke.

The TC Custom Shop barrels were either a 20-inch (light weight) Custom Carbine Barrel, a 24-inch Sporter barrel, or a 24-inch Bull Barrel. The availible calibers listed were 17 Mach IV, 17 Rem, .22 Hornet, .22 K-Hornet, .222 Rem, 22PPC, .223 Rem, .222 Rem Mag, 220 Swift, 6mm PPC, 6mm TCU, 6.5 x 55, .264 Win Mag, .270 Win, 7mm TCU, 7mm-08, 7mm Rem Mag, 7x57, 7.62 x 39, .280 Rem, , .308 Win, 30/06, .300 Win Mag, 35 Whelen, .375 Win, 373 H&H (only in Bull Barrel with tamer), 38/55, .416 Rem Mag (only in Bull Barrel with tamer, and 45/70.

They would also make Custom barrels in calibers not listed for the TCR's. For example, They did not list the .22 CCM for the TCR but did list it for the Contender. Per a telephone call they agreed to make one for a TCR in that caliber. I think I also called about a bull barrel for the .264 Win Magnum and they said they could make on in a 26-inch length.

I once saw a chrome bull barrel in 22 lr thing must have been at least a inch and 1/4 round and was drilled off center in the chamber end in order to be able to fire the rim fire but on front end hole was in the middle and it took a special fore grip, it was at a gun show for a nunber of times, fellow wanted 550 for barrel plus 150 for forend.

The 22lr would quite a sight to see.

I wouldn't mind having a 7.62x39 for my TCR.

A local dealer recently had a couple of TCRs.  One was a TCR-87 with a .45-70 barrel.  I believe it was a Custom Shop barrel, although I may be mistaken.

I am working to put on a peep sight on my 23" .308.  I recently acquired an Eagle Zephyr HK style front diopter sight (made for a Ruger 10/22).  It looks like it will mount on my front ramp with a little fitting.  I have an old flat plate scope mount that I can use to mount a WGRS rear peep sight.  Hopefully, I will get that together soon.
