H&R/NEF Pardner Pump
« on: April 01, 2010, 05:38:01 PM »
I just got my H&R/NEF Pardner Pump 12ga back from the gunsmith.  I had 6.5" cut off the factory 28" barrel.  He re-tapped it for Mossberg/Winchester chokes, and installed a new front bead and a center bead.  I have a HS Undertaker choke tube.  Nothing fancy here, as this was intended to be a low budget Tom Slayer.  I shot a 3" Federal Premium #5 @ 40 yards.  The turkey target had about 50 pellets in the head/neck.  It had a very consistent pattern too.  I am a happy camper.  Bring on the toms!!!

thanks...it's not camo, just matte black synthetic.  i got the gun cheap, and it's a tank.  cycles everything well and i don't have to worry about it in the woods.  i tried to find a "turkey" barrel for it and could not find anything.  so i had a local gunsmith make it the way i wanted it.

good luck to all the fellow turkey hunters this season.

I must say im rather fond of these guns. I love mine despite all the China hype. Mine has never failed in any way. I have close to 3,500 rounds digested by it. all around a solid gun. Plus it fits most 870 accessories.

I started to by the Home Defense model.  I have sporting guns, but you never know.  I didn't know if I could trust my life to a made in china shotgun so I bought a used remington 870 ex police.
