jimster...back to funny history, facts, and accounts I see.

Dee...get ready to move, too. Nation of Atzlan wants back all of Texas from you eastern tribes. Difference between American colonization...is eventually there is a peace and established borders, Law, and moral relevancy that breaks out...the opposite is the case in Palestinian ..continued expansion, mayhem, genocide by a supremacist cult masking as jews..with big Uncle Sap footing the bill and doing the heavy lifting. Anna Balzter is from Austin...easy on the eyes and you can attend a lecture of hers perhaps...she defends the slaughtered Christians of Palestine , too.

TeNel...grievances...? more like crimes against humanity I should say. If we look at the UN resolutions we see 60 or more layed on israel...I believe zero on Palestinians...if we look at the death toll or number imprisoned and tortured we see ratios of 2000:1  Israel has been stronger because the USA has funded, armed, ran smoke screens in the Security Council, allowed their dual citizans to run our government, taken out unfriendly governments (under human rights charges and WMD>> ::)) and distorted scripture. Palestinians have made numerous concessions...it was Israel that violated Oslo accords and Camp David agreements, and continued to abscond with property and water...just look at the maps. As for rocket attacks ,,,even israelis say they are a waste of resources only killing about 15-23 so-called israelis in 15 years and used for justification for high tech slaughter and annexation of land, BUT also inflaming the western world thru lamestream media. Curiously, these 15 or 23 dead are foreign workers or black ethiopian jews... Sorry,,,,in this high holiday of Christ...the

   TM7;
    In the middle of your post above, you say the U.N. has laid 60 sanctions against the Israelis and zero against the Palestinians....

  That says a great deal more about the U.N. than it does about the Palestinians or the Israelis !!! ;) :D ;D ;D

Now if firing unguided rockets having no warheads is on par with f-14s firing phosphorus and quided bombs then nothing is on par, wherein civilian casualties are glibbly chalked off as militias hiding behind civilian shields...then we have a problem in spirit. BTW,,,I don't know where you get this 50 mile range for homemade unguided quazam rockets..it is more like a few kilometers...I have yet to see payload accurate data:

Since 2001 15 israelis have been killed by rockets...and most of them were foreign workers for some reason
..TM7

TM please quit trying to spread your false information, the rockets do have warheads, they are filled with semtex and ball bearings. The Katusha rockets are very large and have a large warhead. I have a buddy who had been on the receiving end of these rockets in Iraq they are far from harmless.

 TeamN;
  That makes it pretty clear for MOST ALL of us..

   Dee;
    I'm with you..guess that makes us "Israel firsters"..after God, family, country that is. Bearmgc..maybe you're one also... ;) :D ;D

   TM7;
   The timesonline article TeamN posted said those rockets hit the Israeli city of Ashkelon all morning ..until the Israelis struck back.  Of course, the Gaza strip was handed over on the promise of PEACE..but there has been no peace. So I assume the Gaza strip is disputed territory, and keeping with your deduction the bombing of that disputed territory was perfectly fine...

   BTW: Please tell your friends in the Gaza strip about the wisdom of "bringing a knife to a gun fight" !

Ironglow, what a super synopsis, indeed ! To the heart of the matter, Israel conceded land, dependant on the guarantee of peace. Oh, the true reality so obvious, that no peace has come of it. Here we are with promises not fulfilled, and Israel with nothing to show for its relinguishing of land. This is soo obvious and glaringly transparant, even to a blind man, hearing the full story. Is it that we are expected to have no memory? TM7, if you are not aware of it, I am a Christian with a memory. Truth prevails. Israel will also prevail. Get used to it.

I do remember several years ago the Israelis were going to blow some guy up and make it look like their good friends the USA did it! But the CIA busted their plot before they could pull it of! No matter what you think they are not our friends. They are just using us!

The Palestinains had the option to work toward their own good when they gained the Gaza, didn't surprise me they blew it up...literally.  Rather than live in houses built by Israelis, they destroyed them and lived in the streets.  Some of them might have felt a little dumb after that, but there was always a nice cozy tunnel Hamas was digging to keep them warm.

It seems now the supporters of these so called Palestinians are now reduced to actually saying their bombs, missles, terrorist leadership...are not really a threat to anyone.  Pretty weak.

TM...you seem to rewrite history your own way and spread information I just can't seem to get, but I will say it again...there really is no such thing as Palestine...you might want to study a little bit.  If the ony way we can recognize who the land belongs to is by going back in history...then go back in history all the way. History finds "Palestine" without merit. It is a Roman term, the Romans assigned this name about the second century A.D.  Palestine is NOT the original name.

Anyways...true history aside, what can you do for a bunch of people who get a strip of land and then blow it all up anyway and then continue their
relentless attacks on their neighbors?

Indeed, problem being a forked tongue. If they affirmed their true agenda more than incidental statements, the rest of the world may finally get a definative idea of the true focus of their actions against Israel- not that they have, by their actions already defined their intent. Their intent is to obliterate Israel. to destroy it.

Jewish loss of land...about A.D. 135 by the Roman Emperor Hadrian (Publius Aelius Hadrianus) He renamed Jerusalem after himself and the god Jupiter Capitolinus—Aelia Capitolina. He then imposed the death penalty on any Jew who would enter the city.

In an interview with the Dutch newspaper "Trau" (March 31, 1977), PLO executive committee member Zahir Muhsein said, "The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct 'Palestinian people' to oppose Zionism. It is also been a "conceptual" war for ownership of the term "Palestinian" which has been transferred over to the Arabs whereas, before 1967, "Palestine" has always been synonymous with Eretz Israel and the Land of Israel.

Israel first became a nation in 1312 B.C.E., two thousand years before the rise of Islam! Seven hundred and twenty-six years later in 586 B.C.E.  these first ancient Jews in the Land of Israel [Judea] were overrun and Israel's First Jewish Temple (on Jerusalem's Old City Temple Mount) was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar, king of ancient Babylon. Many of the Jews were killed or expelled; however many were allowed to remain.  These Jews along with their progeny and other Jews who would resettle over the next 500 years, rebuilt the Nation of Israel  and also a Second Temple in Jerusalem upon the Temple Mount. Thus the claim that Jews suddenly appeared fifty years ago right after the Holocaust and drove out the  Arabs is preposterous!

It must be noted that in 636 C.E., when the Arabs marauders came to the land and uprooted even more of its Jews, they did not form any Arab nation there... and certainly not a "Palestinian" nation.  They were simply "Arabs" who, as did others before them, moved into a geo-political area called "Palestine!"  And remember this one fact... it was not the Jews who "usurped" (a favorite word from the Arab propagandists) the land from the Arabs. If anything, it was the Arabs in 636 C.E. who overran and stole it from the Jews!

No nation, other than the ancient nation of Israel and later again in 1948 with the rebirth of the 2nd Nation of Israel, has ever ruled as a sovereign national entity on this land. A mighty Jewish empire extended over this entire area before the Arabs --- and their Islam --- were even born!  The Jewish People have one of the most legitimate Birth Certificates of any nations in the world. Every time there is an archaeological dig in Israel, it does nothing but support the fact that the Jewish People have had a presence there for well over 3,000 years. The national coins, the pottery, the cities, the ancient Hebrew texts... all support this claim. Yes, other peoples have passed through, but there is no mistaking the fact that Jews have always had a continual presence in that land for over 3,000 years. This predates and certain dwarfs any claims that other peoples in the regions may have. The ancient Philistines are extinct. Many other ancient peoples are extinct. They do not have the unbroken line to this date that the Jews have. And if you want to talk religion, fine.  G-d GAVE the Land of Israel to the Jewish People. And G-d does nothing by accident!

The term "Palestine" came from the name that the conquering Roman Empire gave the ancient Land of Israel in an attempt to obliterate and de-legitimize the Jewish presence in the Holy Land. The name "Palestine" was invented in the year 135 C.E.  Before it was known as Judea, which was the southern kingdom of ancient Israel. The Roman Procurator in charge of the Judean-Israel territories was so angry at the Jews for revolting that he called for his historians and asked them who were the worst enemies of the Jews in their past history. The scribes said, "the Philistines."  Thus, the Procurator declared that Land of Israel would from then forward be called "Philistia" [further bastardized into "Palaistina"] to dishonor the Jews and obliterate their history. Hence the name "Palestine."

http://www.thercg.org/articles/patp.html

Actually there are too many historical things to list concerning this "Palestine thing"...which I know that you know TM....

Far as what the Palestinians have been up to....we all know....

You can't just cover up all the history out there and lean on the Oslo agreement...or go back to only 1948...to make a case that really goes back before Christ.

Just to put a little more light on TMs disinformation here is a little about the rockets being shot at Israel. Some folks with a hatred or agenda sure will try to spread lies!

The weapons, often generically referred to as Qassams, were initially crude and short-range, mainly affecting the Israeli city of Sderot and other communities bordering the Gaza Strip. However, in 2006 more sophisticated rockets began to be deployed, reaching the larger coastal city of Ashkelon, and by early 2009 major cities Ashdod and Beersheba had been hit by Katyusha and Grad rockets.

The Qassam rocket (Arabic: صاروخ القسام‎ Ṣārūkh al-Qassām; also Kassam) is a simple steel artillery rocket filled with explosives, developed and deployed by the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military arm of Hamas. Three models have been produced and used between 2001 and 2009.

The Qassam gained notoriety as the most well-known type of rocket deployed by Palestinian terrorists against Israeli civilian targets during the Second Intifada of the Israeli–Palestinian conflict.[1][2] From 2000 through present, Qassam rockets have claimed the lives of 22 Israelis and one Thai national.[3][4]

I think I have posted a little information to back up my assertations TM. It didn't come from a KKK or Neo Nazi source either. Stop the HATE.

Well, I have to come clean here, as a young lad I was raised in the Luthern Church, had to go to catechism classes a couple times a week, against my will, as all I wanted to do was small game hunt and shoot my .22.  They made us study a lot, and history was a huge part of all of it. The Bible was used
for most references, but there were others as well.

I'll probably pay someday for always looking for a way out of all those classes.  But anyways...the history was always there.  Minus all the politics....
Paletine was never legal in any way shape or form.

What we have now is a big mess, but no more than the mess the Jewish people found themselves in many times over many years.
The Jews have the ultimate right over all the land, through both being the first to occupy, and religion both. If Reglion does not count for some,
history should.

    In the middle of your post above, you say the U.N. has laid 60 sanctions against the Israelis and zero against the Palestinians....

Well, what does it say about the UN you ask...the UN that we finance 52% and host on our territory...the UN that we sit on the Security Council calling shots.....the UN that has lost numerous peace keepers by Israeli gunships, and the UN who's resolutions we used in justification to raid Iracq...the WMD center of the universe.?? Your guess...

PM...don't know,,,but there should be a resolution against rocket firing...only problem is they aren't firing rockets into israel...they firing rockets onto their own land!

Have a great and holy Easter in remembrance of the Prince of Peace.........TM7

   TM7;
  You have made a couple statements here which need a bit of correction;

 A) Yes, we do pay perhaps 52% of trhe U.N.'s bills, but don't blame that on anyone here..blame it on feckless leaders..
  Yes; the U.S. sits on the security council   But..
  NO..NO..We certainly do NOT "call the shots" ! That's why many of us say " U.S. out of the U.N....and the U.N...out of the U.S. !

 B) You claim the terrorists are firing rockets into their own land..News reports said they were firing rockets into the city of Ashkelon. I wenty to Google maps and typed in   > Ashkelon, Israel < ..sure enough ! There it was right there in Israel !!  Try it for yourself !

In 1948 the united Nations and the USA, created Israel. Before that the people had been living on that land for hundreds possibly thousands of years. I can not blame them for trying to get it back! If it were me I would use any means necessary!
    I know some say the Jews lived there thousands of years ago, maybe they did . SO what? There were Creek Indians living where I live, once up on a time. They sure as hell are not going to get my part of it. If they did they would find me doing to them what the rag heads are doing to the Israelis.
   I have news for all you Christians out there. They don't like you any better than they do the Muslims! They do not believe in Jesus, you do not believe the way they do. If they weren’t having to deal with the muslims , they would be after you. Check out how Christians fair in Israel!
  In the best of all worlds they would wipe each other out and we would not have to put up with either!

Sometimes I wonder if all the politics involved in all of these things we talk about is also actually part of the whole plan, people fighting, borders, religious wars, uncertainy of all the nations.  Lot's of very strong feelings on both sides.

So this is what I really believe.  Israel has spread a kind of spiritual thing throught all the nations of the world, if not for Israel there would not have been a bible, apostles, patriarchs, all these spritual things things went to every nation in the world, if not for Israel there would have been nothing. Nations are run by humans, with lot's power to turn it into politcal stuff and making nations uneasy.  Part of the plan I think.  When Israel is out of place, all other nations are also out of place. I think things have been arranged so that no nation can find it's destiny until Israel finds hers.
I don't know how small Israel's borders have to be before everyone is happy, but I would think the nations of the world owe Israel a lot, for being there in the first place, and shaping the entire planet.  They are important to the entire plan I think, but even if you don't believe that, just think how the world would be today without Isael ever being there at all.

I understand where your coming from Beerbelly, I also was raised to believe in Christ. I'm thinking if they can do away with God and the old tesitmate, they can say Christ never existed either (new testimate).  I also think it's part of the plan for Israel to have it's eyes opened as well, least that is what is says.

Guess it's religion that is causing most the problems.  Wish it could be fixed.

BB;
  You have a great deal to learn about Judeo-Christian relationships..and a great deal to learn about Biblical history...

  TM7;
    As I said in an earlier post, your maps (post#44) are very misleading. In any case, history started again for that area in 1967. That was the time when Egypt, Jordan, & Syria decided they would destroy Israel. Gathering more troops from Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Tunisia, Morocco and Algeria, they gathered their hardware and hundreds of thousands of troops on Israel's borders..and promptly got their butts kicked.
  Israeli troops kicked Egyptian butts back to Cairo and Syrian butts back to Damascus, while Jordanian troops licked their wounds all the way home.
  After that fight, Israel possessed the Sinai penninsula, the Gaza Strip, East Jerusalem and Golan Heights..won fair & square as a price for Arab adventuring.
  Being magnanimous however, Israel gave the Sinai penninsula back to Egypt..which was awfully understanding of them. After all, when in History have Muslims willingly given up any land won in war ?
  As far as the rest of the land, Israel has conceeded the Gaza Strip and the west bank to the claimants, even though it was won fair & square. Common sense says if you decide you're going to gang up and give me a beating because I'm smaller..but you get your tail kicked..you ought to be man enough to "take your lumps", rather than to whine & cry to the U.N.
  BTW: Having not learned in 1967, they tried the same trick in 1973..with the same result !

  Below is a much more interesting and factual map....(can you see the tiny black dot that represents Israel?). The green represents the countries which ganged up on her. Tell me folks, If you're picking a team, would you choose Allah or Yahweh ?
If you don't want the truth, don't ask me.  If you want something sugar coated...go eat a donut !  (anon)

Yes...with the Straits of Tiran blocked, and Arab armies poised to strike, Israel decided (on June 5th 1967) to launch a pre-emptive attack on the massive Egyptian forces aimed at her. Probably better than waiting under the circumstances, they were moving their army.  Then they asked Jorden to stay out of it...Jordon opened fire on both west Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv with artillery. Jordanian forces were then defeated.  Then Israel got the Golan Heights. This is where Syria destroyed a couple hundered houses 175 acres of orchards and 75 acres of grain.  They got their buffer zone.  Without it, I think extinction was what they might have been looking at.  Militarily speaking that is.  They chose offense to win this war, which is a good defense.

Well TM, please give me some unfiltered scriptures. There are also some scriptures that warn you best be on the right side of this conflict as well. Those seem more scary to me than anything else really.

Your Jewish inlaws would be more than welcome, no problem with me.  I don't think Jews will move out of that land, a few thousand years is a long time and a lot of history.  Extends long before "Palestine" was created.  It looks like it can't be solved, according to the scriptures, by any of us.
It's actually kind of scary far as I'm concerned.  Makes the hair raise up on the back of my neck.

Imagine your a Palestinian Muslim living in Israel!!!

For your whole life, your told the "history" and stories that TM7 is spewing here.

How much kinship and peace would your have for your Christian and Jewish neighbors?

Since Abraham hooked up with Hagar thru the conniving of his wife Sara, and poor little Ishmael was born. there has been problems over there. And, since that time folks have been choosing up sides on whom is right, and whom is wrong.
One has to make peace with one's self on what one believes, and disbelieves. I personally think it is quite obvious what some here believe, and to try to convince them otherwise, is like trying to convince a horse, that he is instead a cow. In other words, your wasting your time,and will surely end up beating the horse to death.
If you truly believe that God is, the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost, and that Christ died on the Cross then, it is a fairly safe bet that you believe the Scripture regarding Israel, and their "LAND GRANT FROM GOD". If you do, then it really makes no difference what some on the other side think. You have chosen your side, and it is indeed the right side. Sometimes it is best to make your pitch and call it a day, as you will get no where with the other side. This has been going on for about 6,000 years, and they haven't been convinced yet. Christ said shake the dust from your sandals, and go on the next, as this one is a waste of time. Casting your pearls before swine so to speak.
The 1967 war was a war that Israel could not win, but it DID WIN. They were out gunned, out numbered, and had bad tactical position, yet somehow folks started surrendering, and Israel got back a little more of what they had lost many years ago. Imagine that. God will show that He is in charge soon enough, and the scoffers will be put in their place, and you'll get to help.

Excellent post Dee. I think you summed it up perfectly. These kinds of disscussions rarely remain coherent and rational. A no win for either side. It's hard not to enter the fray when you feel so passionate about the truth, but when you recognize that one side of the disscussion,"rejects the love of the truth", it is pointless to go on, or even enter into the disscussion  in the first place.                                                                                  2 Thessalonians chapter 2......especially verses 10,11 and 12.   This scripture speaks to me about these present times.
" FIREARMS STAND NEXT IN IMPORTANCE TO THE CONSTITUTION ITSELF. THEY ARE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE'S LIBERTY TEETH AND KEYSTONE UNDER INDEPENDENCE."       George Washington

“OUR CONSTITUTION WAS MADE ONLY FOR A MORAL AND RELIGIOUS PEOPLE. IT IS WHOLLY INADEQUATE TO THE GOVERNMENT OF ANY OTHER."           John Adams
