Barrels
« on: April 02, 2010, 01:29:59 PM »
Anytbody order any barrels latley? Thinking about sending it in again and geting a 44 fitted, thats what I started with on my first handy, and could kick myself for trading it off. Called CS 3 different times and they all said pretty much the same thing, about 3 mo. wait. So I think I'll take the plunge, tring to buy a 45 or 44 here but nobody wants to give one up and I dont blame them, I would"nt eather.
an unloaded wepon is equal to the same mass and volume as a rock.

Straight off the website. Apparently, the Freedom Group has a LOT going on right now. Shutting down or moving Marlin. To Ilion?

Due to limited availability of barrels at this time, please call 1-866-776-9292 prior to shipping your firearm.

Considering Marlin makes all H&R barrels, that's no surprise.

yukondog,
I think your best bet would be to watch online sales from Bud's or Davidson's for a new .44 mag.
I can't believe Marlin's move was made spur of the moment. A move like that had to be planned and I have to wonder why extra barrels would not have been made to carry over the supply.

There was something about tax based reduction of inventory.

Not sure that I believed it, or if it was a state or fed issue.

The more I think about this, the more I think that TC will score.
